How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

The problem that I had, when searching for used 4Runners, is that they hold their value really well. For a few thousand more, you can get a new one.

I found the same thing. I decided to go brand new, im glad I did. Im lovin' this truck.

My wife will most likely kill me if I buy another new car within a year.
What I would like is a TRDP, but most likely won't be able to swing that. Honestly I just want it for the Quicksand. :dancin:

Yes, the doc fee was $299.45, tax was about $721 and I can't remember what licensing was.

OK that makes me feel a bit better. The discount I am getting off MSRP is then about the same as yours, but sounds like you got an awesome deal by getting them to sell to private party through the dealership.

Did you bring that up to them or is it something they just offer you?

I had to bring it up with them. They initially only offered me $24000 for my trade, and I was able to sell it for $34000, so a really big price difference. The difficult part of the deal was trying to coordinate the sale of my car and 4Runner in the same month. It was a specialty car, so my buyer was extra patient with me.

Just to clarify on the added options, Blizzard Pearl special paint, automatic running boards, rear sliding cargo tray, and remote start. It looks like the destination charge is now $940 vs $900.

It looks like your deal might have been about $900 better than the purchase price they are offering me, but that is assuming our options are apples to apples. I think maybe your package did not include 3rd row? That might make the difference, mostly.

The $700 TDA (toyota dealer advertising) is there - not sure if they all include that or not.

Looking at a 2015 Certified TEP. Super White with 30k miles. Clean CarFax and one owner. Dealer is asking $34.9k. I'd like to get them down to around $32k. Do you think that's reasonable?

I ran into the same thing and no one was willing to budget on prices for used ones. I walked on 4 dealers on used Trails. For between 33 and 36k with 15-40k miles. Bought brand new with lower interest rate for 37500.

Agreed I started out looking used but quickly switched to purchasing new. I will only end up spending about $4000 including taxes to have my new Runner next week vs used models with lots of mileage. Even though Toyotas are built to last I feel it's a small spread for the piece of mind being the first owner. Also resale down the road is a great factor as well. Good luck!

I finally picked up my Limited on Saturday. MSRP is $46,844.00 and before TTL, I paid $43,639.26. This was with an agreed upon price of $650.00 under dealer invoice. I was happy with the deal and felt that it was fair. The dealer made a few bucks and I saved $3205 from MSRP. The best part was, that they ordered the 4Runner to the exact specs that I had requested and allowed me to sell my trade, through the dealer, to a private party. I was able to get maximum value for my trade and save another $2300 on taxes. My total OTD came out to $11,500.27.

Did you get the automatic running boards? If so, that's a super deal!! Even still, it's pretty good.

Wait for the Cement on the 2017. Much cooler, IMO. I can't live without a sunroof, though.

When I added my Trail Premium to my AAA insurance I gave them my VIN. The guy on the phone says "Oh a Limited, nice!". I think they just classify Trail Premiums at the Limited price point for replacement value, at least that's what he thought.

That. Sucks. LTD is more to insure.

Anyone trade in their older 5th gen to purchase a new one? I have a 2012 Trail Edition with KDSS that has 25.5k on it. I'm curious and have contemplated how much it would be to upgrade to a new Trail. With the very low miles I have I think I'd get a good trade in value, just a question of how much more to upgrade, have a warranty, etc.

My Trail has been without a doubt the best vehicle I've had although I am considering other vehicles as well. 4Runner just strikes a real good balance between capability, quality, reliability and price.

As nice as that would be.. I do not want a Limited. haha. I do like some of the LTD features such as auto climate and push start but it's not enough to make me give them a free pass on such a mistake. I'm hoping that it's just a typo or something else. :tongue:

If its the factory remote start, its completely useless IMO.

Sounds like you're getting a pretty good deal, especially if they are $1000 more on your trade than anyone else. Mine didn't have the 3rd row seats or mats, instead the rear sliding cargo tray. You'll have to pay the TDA fee, as that's non negotiable at any dealer. You still have a little room to negotiate the holdback and wholesale financial reserve, if the dealer is willing to play ball.

I did get the automatic running boards, as well as the rear sliding cargo tray, and remote start. No other options.

Are you bound to the TEP or willing to look at other trims? I just picked up a 2015 LTD with 31k miles for $33.7k + TTL and they threw in a third key sensor, cloth/fabric floormats to go with the existing all-weather mats, they paid for safety/emissions inspection in my home state, and wet-sanded the existing scratches. Got it back and it looks brand new. Just added the 8 yr. 100k warranty (short commute) for 1/2 of what the dealership wanted through a contact in the warranty thread.

I'm try to be good this time around and not add a bunch of crap to the initial purchase which is why I ordered only items that cannot be installed after the fact. Plus, I'm very picky so I would not want paint protection from Toyota when I plan on getting Xpel. I would not want running boards as I plan on getting a set of sliders from c4-Fab and remote start will eventually be from Compustar.

My credit union came back to me yesterday with finance approval to 110% of value so it's hard not to ask the dealership if they can order an OME suspension and set of 275 BFG's for it but even as tempting as that is...I would rather pay that separately than each and every month.

Got a quote for a new TRD with no options for -500 under MSRP of 42,750. Does this seem like a good deal? Thanks all its getting exciting.
