How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

For the record, I just signed for a white or silver or grey 2016 4Runner Trail Edition (Canada) with no add-ons or upsells or accessories, in the Toronto area for $50800 on-the-road all inclusive (just over $43000 base price before standard fees and taxes.)

I felt I could have done a bit better if I shopped around a little bit more but the pricing is good enough and beat my target going into the buying process ($51000 OTR.)

That base price is better than I did in Calgary, I was less OTD just because of tax.
Question for you guys. I leased my first T4R last week. It's a 2016 TE non-KDSS in Mag Metallic. I'm paying $315/month, 0-down, 0-trade in, sign and drive deal. Sticker price was $38,800 USD. Talked it down to $36,000 with Rigid running boards and floor mats. I'm paying $11,300 over a 36 month lease. Buyout is $29,700. I would've liked to finance the truck, but just couldn't afford it at the moment.
My question: Would I be crazy to buy this truck out at the end of the lease for that price?
I checked Cars.com "cost to own" feature, and a 2016 Trail will depreciate to roughly $28,000 in 3 years. 2013s (3 years old) with 36k miles are currently selling for $29-30000 according to KBB.
If I bought this truck last week instead of leasing, I'd be paying $40-41k out the door after taxes, fees, and interest on a loan. If I buy the truck out after the lease, I'm looking at $43k (including current cost of the lease). A $29,700 buyout on a $38,800 seams astronomically high, but after running the numbers, it doesn't seem to be too far off from what it could be valued at. There's a few things I'd like to do to the truck, and I'd like to not worry about having to undo them when I return the truck (sliders, tires, TRD grill, etc). I also wouldn't have to worry about my 12k miles/year. I don't plan on it going over, but if I'm going to spend $1-2,000 in mileage charges when I return the lease, I might just break even if I bought the truck out. I love the current model, and I'm afraid of the next generation being some unibody/supersize car/Grand Cherokee/Explorer-looking monstrosity, and I'm forced to give mine up. Thoughts?

Just paid cash this last Thursday for a 2016 T4R TEP W/KDSS.....$39,300 Before TTL. Northern Ohio dealer.....

$37,400 for a Trail Premium with black tube steps and premium mats. TTL will be added to that. Due to arrive in Houston in a couple of days then ship up to north Texas after that.

2016 Trail Premium with KDSS, roof-rack cross bars, and plastic mats. Signed the papers and paid for it tonight. $40,503 before TTL and doc fee.
It was hard leaving it behind but I'll pick it up tomorrow during lunch or drop off my Toytec Ultimate lift kit for install at the service department.
Fresh off the truck and per my instructions, no stickers / dealer badges, no front license plate frame, and hasn't been washed. Coming soon to a build thread near you:

Jealous of all of you getting your trail and premiums for under 40k. Went to 3 Dealerships in Houston on labor day and none of them were willing to go down below $43k before TTL 
I was hoping to pick something up for at most 40k and TTL included.

What exactly are you looking for?
I went to toyota.com and configured what I wanted then did an inventory search. It showed an exact match, meaning there was one in Gulf States Region inventory. I called my salesman and he confirmed it. Then he knocked $3324 off MSRP. It should arrive at the dealer tomorrow or Saturday.
Looking at cars.com tells me there are deals in Texas. You just haven't found the right dealer and salesperson yet.

Really? Just last week I picked up a TRD Pro at Autonation for sticker, which is only just above 43k. No reason a Trail model should cost that much.

I'll look into this. Simply put, just a Trail Premium. Blue, white, silver, or red. Moonroof and the manual transfer case has me hooked. Remote start and the floor mats is all I like. Protection package, don't mind that in there. Don't need the step rails because id rather get sliders. Won't be doing any heavy off roading but the fact I can get them for essentially the same price they're charging, would still rather have sliders.
Man, I'll have to look around more. I went to Joe Meyer's, Don Mcguil, and Fred Haas.
Joe Meyer's had a black trail for about 41k. They also had to switch the seats to leather because a customer wanted the soft Tex seats in their 4runner. Really wanted the moon roof and the soft Tex so I tried to get them down to maybe 38k drive out since I'd have to deal with not having the stuff I wanted. I also wanted any other color than black.
Don McGuil: blue trail premium but muddy, dog hair inside, and 40 miles on it. Salesman tried to tell me they let a customer take it for about an hour or 2 and show it to her parents...??? Also tried to tell me the 4wd was good for towing and it could be used on pavement.....
They wanted 44k before TTL. Had a bunch of options I didn't need, but the remote start was in there.
Fred Haas Toyota World had a magnetic gray, basically no options other than running boards and maybe the protection package, and wanted 43k. Was willing to take out the taxes. But it had 260 miles on it. Kind of a lot?
For supposedly being new, yeah. I walked in the dealer at the beginning of August, and told a salesman what I wanted. 2016 white TRD Pro with no options, and that I didn't want all the extra accesory crap GST tries to add. He assured me I wouldn't be charged for all that paint protection, glass etching, etc. . . they do. I was hopeful, but they already had my deposit, so not much I could do. It came in on the 31st, and just like he promised nothing extra was added. It DOES have the sliding rear cargo tray, but I told them that was fine. I obviously couldn't get a great deal considering what I wanted sells for MSRP almost everywhere, but they didn't play any games, were truthful, and made spending 40k+ about as painless as that can be.

There are 358 Trail Premiums listed in the USA on cars.com. Not a huge number to choose from. But they are out there.

got mine for about the same in Waco.
