How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Of course...those buying programs are just a starting point for those that can and like to negotiate.... of which I am one.

Working against me though is there are simply none available and those dealers that say they can get one are deep into February deliveries and at even higher prices.

I'm sure their tune will change if they had the vehicle on the lot, but they do not and do not want to work very hard on re-allocating for one.

So what does everyone think...is $36,800 for a $40,040 msrp a good deal? That's a little over 8% off msrp and $150 above invoice.

Was able to get 8% off MSRP on a 2016 TEP w/KDSS. This was a case where the dealer had it on the lot while I was there in person. They wouldn't go that low on one they needed to go find. I was happy with the deal.

What was MSRP and what was negotiated price before fee ttl etc?
Local dealer tried to get me for 38.2k on a very similar 39,588... I said, uhm, No. i was thinking more like 35.5 or 36.

I took delivery of my 2017 Super White Premium Package with 3rd Row Seating and Running Boards last Friday, January 13th 2017 (I know, Friday the 13th, and I worried all the way home until I parked it in the garage)
Paid $37,500 Out the Door. This included everything, Fees, tag, taxes, etc.etc.
Total price.

Wifey loves the heated power seats.
Already in process of adding accessories that I did not want to pay dealer prices for.

Thats reasonable imo. If you are happy with it, go for it.

1st post- Wish I found this thread before this week... Anyways, 2 days ago I got 10% off $40,229 MSRP ($4040 discount) for my tax base, $80+$29 dealer fees, then tax and govt fees for $39,734 OTD at a dealer in Vacaville, CA for a silver Trail w/ KDSS, Entune Premium, running boards, cargo bars, all weather mats as options. No trade in, no financing. Got internet pricing from 10 dealers within couple hrs driving that had a KDSS model. Some wanted $3k more for similar MSRP.

MSRP on mine was $41,348 with 3rd row, carpet mats, roof rails, and running boards. I got a 15% off MSRP before the taxes, fees, tag etc.
so, $35,348 before +++

That is why I said I was not sure my tactic would work again due to me getting into the gaggle fray the week between Christmas and New Years.
They were super aggressive to meet an end of year quota.
They still did not lose money.

That may be the deal of the year at 14.51% off for a 2106....nice job! From what I understand there are still 2016s being shipped over alongside 2017s. Your title may not stick for long.

Not so sure about that. "Cost" is around 38K for that setup minus the $750 incentive. Was there a trade? Ive seen a few dealers take a hit before, especially if they were close to a dealership incentive threshold, but this deal is pretty rare unless offset with other profit-making opportunities.

2016 Trail Edition, Super White

MSRP:$38,005
Dealer Discount: $2,490
New Price: $35,515
E-Price: $34,015

Ended up getting black Katzkin leather interior, heat for the front two seats, all weather mats, and roof rack crossbars for $35,500 + TTR. Dealer quoted me 2.39% for financing then it ended up being 3.49% last minute. Surprise, surprise.

Oh and they had to replace the radio knobs because somehow they got scratched in 8 miles.

Didn't trade-in because they offered me $200 for my 2001 Ford Escape with 193,xxx miles.

"Drive off", "Out the Door", "my payments are $615/month" do not tell the full story of what you paid to help others gauge the market.

A helpful format might resemble something like this with MSRP and Sale price being the best apples to apples comparison...

MSRP
Sale price
Trade allowance
Tax rate
Title
License
Finance rate

A little more details are appreciated to compare apples to apples. You could have paid thousands over sticker for example and given a horrible trade for all we know to obtain that price.

2017 trd off road premium in metallic gray with moonroof, cargo cover, exhaust tip and all weather floor liners/cargo tray $35,866 before TTL. Comes in on Friday :)
