A clean stock 2014 FJ Cruiser with low miles.

I loved that FJ, took really good care of (it was my second one, first was a 2010), however, after driving FJ's for the last 6 1/2 years, I felt the 4Runner would be more practical. After the salesman/dealership offered me a good trade-in price for the FJ, I decided to make the switch. If I hadn't been able to put together the deal (with total OTD being under $6,500.00), I would have kept the FJ Cruiser.

$31,000 for a 2016 SR5 Premium with 3rd row seat option w my trade. It was the floor model so they had the weathertech mats, the exhaust tip and a paint protection package.

I added the paint protection film for the hood and fender and a one-way remote start so the total ended up being just shy of $32,000 out the door. This was also the end of January and the dealership was expecting 2017 models to arrive soon.

I actually got offered 10% off a 2017 on the phone....lets see if that holds Saturday when I show up. Maybe I could even push for 15% off 2016.

Depreciation right off the lot. Dealer will be more willing to haggle with the 2016 and getting it off the lot. That was the case for me last month. I didn't think there were any difference between the two years. Not for the Limited models.

The 2016 passenger airbag will be part of a scheduled recall. (Search Takata airbag on google or t4r), the 2017 airbags are not scheduled to be recalled
