How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Bought both of these in the last week:

2016 SR5 $34750 + TTL (MSRP $36900) (-5.8%)
2017 TRD Off Road Premium $38250 + TTL (MSRP $40700)(-6.1%)

I see some of you guys are getting 10% of MSRP but that's just not reality where I live. I shopped around and I have 5 Toyota dealers within a 45 minute drive but none of them were anywhere near 10% off MSRP. The best deal I saw was 6.5-7% but it wasn't a trim/color combo I was interested in. I was seeing typically a 4-5% discount and that's it. The price I paid for the '17 wasn't great but there were only 2 TRD Off Road Premiums any where near me. Supply vs demand. I know how the game is played and I've always done well when buying new but around here the Toyota dealers just aren't discounting the trucks and SUV's very much at all.

I'm still very happy with both purchases. We got two outstanding vehicles for reasonable prices and I have no regrets.

I'm trying to get a decent price on a '16 TEP in the Bay Area and most dealers aren't budging below invoice.

I just bought a '17 TRD Prem from Dublin toyota for $39785 (MSRP of 43850 or so with the options). Was told it was 1000 below invoice and seems to check out. Internet manager said he was just trying to move units.

Paid 34K OTD (includes TTT)

still cant get over the Great experience and Fabulous Deal I got....:jump:

August 31st, 2016 I pulled the plug purchased a
2016 SR5 White with black/grey interior, 3rd row seat
MSRP was $36,309-

I paid $34,000 Out the Door (INCLUDING Tax, Tag & Title)
No Trade !!!

The entire deal was done over the internet - I started pricing on August 1st - reached out to 5 local dealers - told them all that I was ready to pull the plug by the end of the month and that I was a serious buyer.....No-one could beat the 2nd dealers price quote....so just before pulling the plug I asked if they would remove the dealer fee and they did !!

I couldn't be more pleased how it all worked out - did my financing before going in to p/u truck, told finance guy I wasn't buying anything extra - wanted to finance 27K as I would write a check for 7K downpayment - spent less than 2 hours total at the dealer (15-20 minute to drive new vehicle which had 3 miles on it....45 minutes doing paperwork and 30 minutes learning all the bells & whistles)

YA=HOOOO !!!

What dealer? I see your in Central Florida, we have family there so I'd be interested to know. Was your T4R a 4x4?

Sounds like a decent deal and you played the game well. I recommend this method to almost everyone I know. It would probably help others if you could post the price paid without TTT.

Also, i believe the idiom you want is "pulled the trigger" or at least I hope someone didn't die in the deal. ;):

I just bought a 2016 SR5 Premium with remote starter and the convenience package in Boston area.

MSRP: $40,102

Sale Price: $32,973.

Got to that price before we even discussed financing (cash) or a trade in.

Hadn't realized the issue of invoice price now being meaningless with regards to dealer's profit.

Awesome deal! Just curious how long you spent in the dealer?

Almost 4 hours at the dealer, although most of that was simply waiting around for a business manager to ink the deal and then for the shop to clean the car, etc. I negotiated the price over email for the most part.

New 2017 4Runner SR5 w/entune radio & nav

MSRP in the Las Vegas area for 2017 SR5 (4x4) w/ entune radio & nav was hovering around 37.5k to 38k between Findlay Toyota, Centennial Toyota, and David Wilson's Toyota of Las Vegas.

Was able to get it around 34k out the door (9.3% to 10.5% off MSRP) at Findlay Toyota.

2017 4Runner Limited

Just bought a 2017 4Runner Limited for $41,000 + tax & tag. OTD price was $43,376.55 (6% sales tax). It was a great buying experience. I emailed the internet sales assistant for the best price she can give me on one with grey exterior with black interior. She emailed me back with the internet price quote (see attachment). I asked her if she could go any lower. She told me to hold so she can ask the manager. 5 to 10 minutes later she came back and told me the best they can do was $41,000. I told her I'll be right over to discuss in more detail. The only thing that I really wanted was the running board that was not included. I try to get them to throw it in but they wouldn't do it. They only give me the mud guards. Hopefully this'll help out the next buyer. Don't be too tough on me. This is my first post on any board. Just trying to help. By the way, I tried the Penfed and Cosco auto buying program and this is still the best price.

I bought a 2017 Limited as well, ended up at the $41k number from the $45k MSRP.

One thing I did notice in my paperwork was a document regarding my vehicle being recalled for the takata airbag. I remember someone up above mentioned that 2017 wouldn't be on the recall list (which seems to conform to what google and toyota have released) so maybe this was just some sort of proactive approach? Anybody else see that in their paperwork regarding the 2017 recall? I was a bit surprised at that.

In California, in August of 2016 I got my Trail Premium for $500 over invoice. NOT MSRP. INVOICE.

$42k MSRP, got for $38k INVOICE +$500.

Folks,

Curious if you don't mind posting up how much you paid for your new 2014 4runners out the door price and what TRIM and options you got.

I'm only interested in OUT THE DOOR price.

Just want to see what it would cost me to trade mine in for a '14

I've never heard of a dealer knocking $7000 off MSRP for a 4Runner at any trim level.

You got a great deal. Clearly you know how to buy a car (a process that doesn't involve any consideration of the wholly arbitrary "invoice" price). Should feel good to know you didn't overpay. Enjoy!

I just picked up a 2016 Trail Premium with kdss for 38.5 in Atlanta Ga. Came with running boards, black softec, all weather mats and cargo slider. Negotiated everything via text and came with my own financing so the deal was done in less than an hour.
