Don't blame them a bit for that. Although in your case, they should have honored your deal, which was a bs move. If there were a surplus of these, things would be much different. That's what's good about the Costco deal, they can't mess with this, it's all preset pricing right up front and your dealing with Fleet managers not those normal salesman.

I think you got an excellent deal, invoice is around $39xxx on that thing, so they basically lost money on it to sell it to you. I'm now wondering if perhaps their invoice pricing is different in your state or something to compensate for taxes.

It must be the area. My breakout doesn't list the cost he offered my packages at but it was about what you listed above. I also used the PenFed car buying service which offers TrueCar priceing and 1.74% apr for 60 months. PenFed sent my info to two dealers and I told the first dealer that I had two other stops to make, I'm guessing he low balled me to make the sale then and there.
Can't tell you how glad I am to hear I got a good deal on it!

Paid $42,800+TTL (46k total) for a 2017 cement TRD Pro. I did this about 3 weeks ago and am absolutely dying waiting for this thing. Should be in my possession early June at the latest.

46k total (taxes and dealership fees), and the MSRP on the one I got was a fully loaded at 46,700. So I got a deal to end up under MSRP. Wait time was 2 months for the order though.
Got it at Toyota of Fort Worth, all the Dallas dealerships were marking up 2k at least above MSRP before fees when I was first ordering.

I just had another dealer in Houston offer me 38,500 (before TTL) for 4 Runner TRD OFF ROAD PREMIUM. I guess this may be a desperate time for these guys or maybe just a normal price?
Would you guys prefer getting a TRD OFF ROAD Premium with sunroof etc or a TRD PRO?

That's what I wanted to do. Every time I got quoted for a lease on a Pro the payments were $720+ I couldn't quite understand how a vehicle that holds its value so well leased so crappy. I ended up leasing a trail w/ KDSS for $448 a month with zero down. It had a MSRP of 39,9xx and they discounted it down to $35600for the lease. Mine was a '16 though so it appears they were wanting to move it pretty badly. However my buyout at the end of the lease is only 25k.

Lease payments are calculated using a Residual Value, set by the manufacturer. They can increase or decrease this number as required to move vehicles when needed.
Resale Value is set by the market.
The two are similar, but definitely not the same.

Sit in one with a sun roof... I think you lose about 2 inches if the sunroof is installed. I'm 6'2 and had to slouch some in the one I tried with the sunroof.

Looks like a TRD Pro with Trail rims that is over priced to me. Ran the VIN and it came back as TRD Pro.
So, been searching for a new TEP for the past week to possibly get one faster than waiting for my order. Been finding a pattern. It seems a lot of the dealers are advertising the TEP on their sites, however when you go there or ask about them, they were "just sold". Yet, when you look again the next week, they are still there, for sale even though they don't exist, and in several cases they are at a reduced price. I'm finding Toyota sure has some shady business practices.
