How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

I used Toyota financing to take advantage of a rebate. Quick math was get a $1000 rebate for a rate that was about .25 higher.

Depends on how much you are financing but it was less than $5 a month difference for me. Ended saving money by using Toyota Financing

1.99 at 60 is as good as I have seen anywhere though

If you are registering in California you still pay the sales tax even if you bought in Oregon. You just pay it later when you go to register.

Yup! Doesn't matter where you buy the 4R, you'll still pay taxes on them when you register it in California.

Pretty sure Oregon doesn't have sales tax. CA is like 7-8% depending on county I think. So at 40K that's a fair amount of extra money. I can recommend a place in NorCal if you're up here

I'm not ready to buy now, but go ahead and give me the name to the place, especially if they seem to carry the Off Road Premiums.

I honestly am not sure how it works with Toyota, but the two dealerships here in Fresno literally only carry the SR5. Of course I can get one shipped here, but paying $800+ is something that'll make me a little irate. I'd rather drive and spend $100 on gas to get it.

Dealership in Napa, Jimmy Vassar Toyota. My buddy Lucas is the used car manager and have a fair amount of pull at that place. If you call ask for Lucas, don't talk to anyone else, and tell him you heard thru Nick and he will take care of you. Any issues and you can message me and I'll go there directly for you to square away whatever needs squaring.

Will do, thanks!

Anyone have recommendations on buying one in California? I've never bought a new vehicle here (moved here a few years ago), and it seems everyone who owns any sort of truck says to go to Oregon, or another state and buy them.

Does California really nail you that bad? Trying to figure out if it's better to do that or stay in house to buy one.

If you're looking in Southern California, I bought a late year 2016 model at Carson Toyota back in February 2017 for a really good price. That being said, I live in Long Beach, CA and our tax rate is 9.75%. That'll throw a lot of savings out the door.

If anyone in the Bay Area is interested in my allotted MGM ORP (MSRP $42,699), PM me. I purchased from another dealer so you can reach out to the dealer directly. This unit was on reserve for me and will be at the dealership on Friday.

I paid 35k for my 17 sr5 with a third row and a couple of options that I didn't really care for but it was decent deal.

You did $500 better than I did. $35,000 +TTL, but I got the color I wanted! In the Denver area re-sale prices are so high that it makes it a little hard to talk new sale prices down. I bet more patient people than me could get it down to 35k.

A few dealers in Michigan are offering lifetime powertrain warranties along with a couple of gimmicks, 9.95 syn oil changes, free tires for life, etc. Sometimes I wonder if all of the time I spend searching to save $500 is worth it.

What else would you have done with your time? If you're anything like me, you would have just looked at more car related things to spend money on. At least you're not paying interest on that 500$, so you saved that plus whatever that total interest would be over the loan term as well.

Anybody got a deal on a 2017 off-road premium better than MSRP on socal?

So far msrp is what everyone is quoting for the trim within 200 miles of my location.

Thanks.

This past Sunday, I purchased a 17 TRD Off-Road Premium Superwhite for $41,250 + tax, reg fees, etc.

MSRP was $42,455

Factory options
-Sunroof
-KDSS
-Sliding rear cargo deck

How'd I do with price everyone?

2017 TRD Off Road Premium- got deal

Monday traded in my 2016 Tacoma Limited on a 2017 TRD Off-road Premium base, no options ( no sunroof, no KDSS). Got it for $34,900. Deal of a lifetime.

Not a bad price but could have maybe got them 500-1000 lower, but all depends on a lot of other things as well - demand, location, etc.

Last Saturday I purchased an identical 4runner but without KDSS but did have side steps ($500 option) and trunk cover and was at $39,500 otd (SC only has $300 sales tax though, unsure what other dealer fees there were). I almost bought one with KDSS and probably would've been close to where you were at. I had just sold my 4 year old used truck with 77k on it for $40,000 that morning and knew the 4runner was going to get a lot of mods off the bat so I wanted to keep the price low with still getting the off road and leather.

Hard to really say on a trade in. They love to drop the vehicle price way down then make it up on the trade in, unless they gave you the actual trucks book value or more, then it'd be a steal.

Don't blame you going from a Tacoma to 4runner. I was 95% sure I was getting a Tacoma until I test drove one. Felt like a small cheap turd really. Great for what they are but certainly give me zero sense of a "refined" feeling like the 4runner did. I was coming from a much larger truck though.

hmm a premium without a sunroof or kdss that seems odd. I am assuming it has leather?

I think the leather and heated seats & mirrors are the only 'premium' features that are base to the package. Those are the only must-have features that I wanted (in addition to ATrac, crawl, etc... for me I got exactly what I wanted (no sunroof). It was awesome.

I think that's a good deal. When negotiating for mine I started with a premium with all the same specs as yours, got the base price down to $37,850 before tax and fees, MSRP local was $42,500. I could not pull the trigger as I did not want leather. A day later got a call that they had a super white TRD Off Road with KDSS, Nav, Cargo deck and none leather coming in on the 4th of May. Got that down to $37,126 before tax and fees. These next 5 days are going to be brutal lol

They will make a few bucks on my trade but I still netted out an awesome deal. I traded the Tacoma, got the car I wanted, gave them no extra cash, and my note went down significantly. It was a great deal. BTW, USAA is awesome. Got 1.99% financing on the balance too. Epic.

Ok that makes sense, I was the opposite KDSS was a necessity for me and leather was a huge no go. I have owned a lot of cars that had leather over the years and in AZ it's just not worth it. Awesome price though and deff a great deal.
