Going in tomorrow to talk with Toyota. Wife's broker friend who used to sell Toyota's gave our info to one of the sales people who then told us to come in tomorrow and ask for him. I assume we're supposed to get some sort of special treatment, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Was quoted $41,891 out the door for a TRD Off-Road. KDSS, Etune Audio w/ Nav, Cargo Tray, Remote Start.
Have to talk with the wife, but this seems pretty decent for California. Or am I just letting this go to my head and I can do better on the price?

That looks very reasonable. Of course, try and do better, but if that's what you end up with that's pretty solid.
Reading through the thread, seems plenty of people are getting a few grand under MSRP, but plenty also end up paying near msrp.
If you are really determined though, it appears to be possible to get 10k off msrp, however I don't think any of us amateurs have unlocked that obvious mental block holding us back yet.....

I got my TRD Premium KDSS sliding tray for 39k+TTL (in Colorado). I am from CA as well. The deals you guys are posting are actually pretty decent. The TRDP pretty much only adds the moonroof/softex/heated seats. Just find the vehicle you want and work money anywhere from 1K-4K off the sticker price and add TTL. That is about as good as it gets for us CA people. All these lucky guys from other states make me wanna cry when I see the prices they are getting LOL.

Yeah, I agree with this. I'm super bummed I see people getting the TRD Trail for 42k OTD. If I was able to get that deal, I would have pulled the trigger on that in a second. But it has the softex seats, warmers, nav. full shibang.. at the end of the day, i'm super happy with my purchase.. will probably start a build threat shortly.
I got the Toyota Employee/Friends/Family deal, and i still paid 42k...
but thats with registration, local taxes (9%), and everything else that that stack on at the end... plus 100k/7 year warranty.

Wife seems to be happy with the 4Runner so going to test drive it tonight one last time to make sure, and then I'll talk with our guy in the morning and get everything done that needs to be done for me to pick it up once it ships from port.
Should have it by the end of the month. I'll update the total tomorrow morning being the one earlier was from a vehicle in Reno that I felt may have been driven a bit as they said it went from a dealership or two to the one it's at. Not looking to have one that has 100 miles or so on it. The one I looked at earlier at port is slightly cheaper.

Everything went well. The manager was still there surprisingly. Got everything situated and assuming he can work a trade with the dealer the car is supposed to be going to (apparently they are good friends so he's confident he can), I'll have it later this month when it lands.
He showed me on the computer what the price would be. Want to say like $500 cheaper than the one earlier that had a few extra upgrades. So $41,300 something OTD.
