I think this is the best price I've seen on a ORP if you didn't have a trade in. Share the dealer contact info so that others can benefit as well.
I'm more focused on the engine comment... do you have any links to this being the case? Or just hypothetical?

Roseville Toyota, no trade in. It took about 6 hours and 5 trips out the the door until they got the price where I wanted. This is my second new car from them and they are about selling units and are more willing to take a hit on a sale. I was really leaning towards a pro but I couldn't be happier with what I got for the price.
Well done. That place has some of the sleaziest salespeople I've ever run into.

had a pretty easy and fair priced experience with Heiser Toyota in Milwaukee.
2017 SR5 sticker was 37,200
33,400 before fees etc out the door. Fees were reasonable, dealer was fast.
Probably could have ground things down a bit more, but their initial internet offer was so much better than anyone elses I didn't want to waste time grinding away for another 100-150 bucks.
Good experience. Had to drive 4 hours to get it, but it was a very good experience.

IF the 4Runner gets the new Tacoma's engine, I would steer clear of it and is why I bought the 17 rather than a chance new design. The Tacoma went off the rails as a new design. 220K recalls for differential leaks to differential failures with no cure in sight except tightening bolts. The parts are not there to fix them all and the dealer HAS to KEEP your truck until it is fixed.
I traded my 16 Tacoma Sport into my Honda dealer for a SR5 Premium 4Runner, and have since traded it for a new 17 Limited. I never liked the 3.5 and it's slush box of a transmission. Plus the howling and whirring noises were not comforting. The 4Runner gets 20 MPG vs the 21 I got in the Tacoma. So much for both Direct and port injection.
I have had 4 Tacomas. The last being the only one I sold to buy a different vehicle.

Dealership would probably offer $1500 for your 2002 4R. You might get ~$3500 if you try to sell it yourself.
A lot. Way too much.
Congrats on your SR5! Did you pay the additional vehicle destination fees (not doc fees) or was that part of the 37,200 sticker?

36K for a 2017 SR5 Premium. Sticker was just below 41K. Taxes, etc. are paid separately here.

Hey guys...I figured this would be the BEST thread to post this question in...I'm hoping for some very educated help.
I was quoted for a 2017 SR5 Premium with Leather, Nav, Sunroof.
Also:
- XP Predator Package (3299)
- TRD Suspension Kit (2199)
With a 3k negative trade, I'm still coming out the door (before warranty) at $49,500 (So likely 51ish with the full 10/120 Warranty).
How bad am I being hosed and what OTD price I should be pushing for on this deal with the full blown warranty, wheel/tire, etc...
I'm no stranger to the prices of 4Runners, and accordingly, this seems a tad high even with the negative equity. This is also with 20k down on phenomenal credit. I do understand this is a specialty vehicle and almost none are equipped this way (XP package with TRD wheels/suspension, but doesn't have KDSS, or TRD interior (it's an SR5, after all)...
Thanks sooo very much for anyone (very in the know) who can quote and reply to this. Delivery is Saturday and I'm hesitant....but love the vehicle.
