How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

2017 TRD Pro:

Roof rack, no cargo slider, and credit for running boards removed...OTD for $40k (wrote the check before "negotiating" and asked the sales guy to go ask manager if they wanted the check or if I should go elsewhere).

Also a "repeat customer" at this dealership, so they know I play hard-ball with pricing. They can make stupid profit of someone else.

Just ordered my White ORP with sunroof and remote start. 37.5 + TTL. Felt it was a fair price, they also gave me a bit over market for my trade in so I was happy. Should be in by this weekend and then the real fun begins as I start the build! TRD Pro rims with KO2, TRD Pro grill, Bilstein 5100, HIDs, roof rack, audio upgrades, tints, etc should be a fun little daily driver that i can toy around with on the weekend.

So you paid $40k for a TRD PRO with roof rack? That is the lowest Price paid for a 2017 PRO. What color?

Are you in a tax free state?

OTD means Out The Door, as in you wrote a check for $40,000 and they gave you the title and keys.

I don't mean to call BS on you but I kind of am... over $2,000 off MSRP on the hottest vehicle on the market in the price range, $0 tax, $0 Title, $0 Documentation fees, $0 Registration, Free roof rack (what kind anyway?), and they gave you "credit" for an item that you did not pay for???

If you can prove to me you pulled this off I will hire you to broker my next vehicle purchase and give you half of what I would have paid, and mail you a freaking trophy to boot.

Just purchased a TRD ORP with a sunroof, no KDSS for $37K plus TTL in San Antonio, TX. This is my 1st car purchase, so did I do alright? I think MSRP was around $42K and I was out the door for $41K

I think you did pretty good since you went with the Premium package. I just recently purchased mine in SA, and also went home with a TRD ORP. Any plans for a lift? Any good trails in the area?

Have you ever tried to "end negotiations" by writing a check, and actually walking out if they don't agree? I have at this particular dealership, and then brought my new truck there for service. Do you know what the dealer markup and incentives (model year end) are? How about the number of these "hot trucks" that are sold OVER sticker? I'm pretty confident there are other savvy buyers out there that have gotten their truck under MSRP as well. Like I said - they can make their profits on someone else.

I'm not going to provide a scan of my purchase contract nor my check, so say what you want. I know I have NOT paid sticker (MSRP) for any vehicle I've purchased since I was just out of school. Not for my 2014 Raptor ("Hottest truck out there" at the time), not for my wife's 2010 Mustang GT5.0 right as they were hitting the showroom floor, not for the 2012 Tacoma I purchased for my kid, not for any of the German cars we've owned ("hot/new models" or not)...and not for my TRD Pro. Heck, when kicking tires, they offered me 8% off the new Land Cruiser they had before I even drove it.

Also, the roof rack was the factory unit that came in a "package" with the running boards. So, removing them was a way to credit me or help lower the price.

Rather not get into a war of words over this...not really worth it, is it?

If I bought a highly sought after car for way under value, I would be proud as hell. No need to be so defensive.

welcome to the 5th gen side. a few of us in jax also.

I'm putting on 275 BFG AT K02's today and looking into lift options down the road. Switched over from a 2006 Acura TL I had driven for 7 years so totally new to the SUV community. I have heard that Hidden Valley Adventure Park in Marble Falls is a pretty sweet offroading area

New to the forum and first time 4Runner owner. Just purchased SR5 premium with moon roof and all weather floor mats MSRP $39650 paid $35641 before tax and license fees.

Trd-or

Hi Guys,

I just picked up a silver 2017 TRD-OR, no KDSS, no Nav, just as basic as I could get it.

All the dealers up here in Oregon (And Washington, and Idaho, and Nevada) that I talked to wouldn't budge on pricing. I got told more than once that if I didn't buy it at their price, some other guy would within the week. Best deal I wound up with was about $250 off MSRP of $38K.

I decided to give Costco a try just for the hell of it and entered my requirements. 20 min later, I got an email from a local dealer with an offer for $35,530. So I did what any cool headed negotiator does- I drove to the dealer and bought the damn truck.

The deal was straightforward, and the only surprise was a stupid upcharge for theft protection stickering they do, and wouldn't budge on. That irritated the hell out of me but I pulled the trigger anyway.

2017 TRD Off Road, no kdss, no nav
$35,530 Base
$36,336 Out the door.

Super White.

Sorry for coming off that way - I was, however, responding to someone calling me a liar.

Eh, sorry you took it to that level so fast. I was not calling you a liar outright, I was simply asking you to prove it. Your $40k price point is by all measure exceptional and yes you should be proud. But jumping into the thread with that claim, yes claim until proven otherwise, of paying ~10-20% less than EVERYONE else then stating "they can make stupid profit off someone else" is in fact rude. At least you got the opportunity to brag about yourself in a reply that ultimately answered one unasked question. I agreed it was not worth a war of words thus did not reply, until seeing you bring it back up.

This is the last I will entertain the subject.

And for the sake of the history of this thread, when my deal is final I will, like others, share a redacted sales slip so people can see "how much are others paying for their NEW 4Runner"

That window etching they do is a scam. Cost about $20 if that for a sheet of numbers to rub on the window. Charge $400 for it. We used to do it as an option but once mangers saw the potential they made it standard on every new car. I would have still tried to argue I didn't want this done. But nice job on the Costco pricing!

Not only that dealerships don't want people who pay cash. They make more money when you finance it. So put me in the skeptical camp on this deal.
