How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Looking for a little help here. I'm eyeing a 2017 SR5 Prem with the XP Predator package. Dealer has it discounted to 39,6xx. Going in tomorrow to try and negotiate some...but not sure what to try and shoot for. At what price would you all consider a good deal? Its 2wd btw, as my wife doesn't need 4x4.

A few things.

1) It's hard to know what is actually included in the XP Predator pkg since those are port installed options. They're usually just a bunch of appearance package items that add no real value to the truck other than the dealer charging another $5-6k on top of MSRP. You might get some wheels, tires, grill items, badges, and maybe a spacer lift among other tidbits which aren't of any use or value. It would be helpful to know what is exactly included in that particular XP pkg. You'll find on here that the XP packages are typically frowned upon and for some reason is prevalent in SE States Toyota.

2) A 2wd 4Runner SR5P for $39k is insane no matter the options or package.

3) If this is for the wife and she doesn't want/need 4wd why don't you just get her a Highlander, Pilot, or Pathfinder?

I'm not sure what a fair price is but no matter what you will get fleeced buying a 2wd SR5P with an XP package because those XP package add-ons are junk and useless IMO. If you're dead set on it, offer $35k + TTL or walk.

My mom just bought a 2017 sr5p 2wd MSRP was $38xxx and paid $34,000 plus tt&l. The xp includes(black out badge kit under $90), billet grilles, 20" wheels, xp badge and oval running boards. It's definitely overpriced.

Purchased her last week in Fairbanks Alaska.

$39K out the door TTL.

Well, there are no taxes in AK, so that's a HUGE plus. They were surprisingly flexible, and reasonable with the price considering there are only two dealerships in the whole state and they're owned by the same person. Was sticker'd for closer to $42, but without a fight it quickly dropped to the price I paid. Toyota even had a great APR to offer, so I hopped on that as well. I waited 90 days for her to come in, and couldn't be happier. No KDSS, no rear tray, but does have sunroof, and came with the all weather mats throughout. Been wanting one of these for about two decades now. Very happy - Love the truck! :jump:

Been lurking on the forums for a couple weeks trying to find a Cement TRD Pro, but ended up getting a 2017 Off Road Premium in MGM for $40800 OTD - KDSS, Running Boards, Moonroof, All Weather mats, Door Edge Guard

Coming from a 2013 Jeep Wrangler, sad that it's being sold, but excited to start modding the new toy

I will pick it up Monday, deal with the financial guy then go a long western U.S. road trip! I still have to determine if I will get their ExW. A bit pricey, 10years/100,000 for 2K, Any thoughts?

Don't laugh at a guy from FL, but will you swap tires for the snow before Winter? Are the stock tire good enough?

I absolutely will be. I looked up the dunlops that came stock on Tire Rack, and see that they have bad rating for snow, and absolutely terrible rating for ice. The problem up here in the middle of Alaska isn't so much the snow as it is the ice. When it gets below about 20 below zero regular tires turn into bricks and you just skate around on them. It's important to have super soft rubber, and or studs.

I wouldn't use the stock tires during the winter anywhere north of Iowa [emoji52]

I was quoted 1,500 for the 10/100,000 on my Limited 4Runner when I bought it two week ago. The original quote was for 2,000.

Furthermore, I was pretty set on getting a 2017 TRDOR because i couldn't justify spending the extra $5-6K and just upgrading the suspension/wheels/tires/etc which would come close to the price of a TRDP. That being said, i wonder if this TRDP would still be a steal at 4% below MSRP. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks guys!

Haha def not the dealership and i totally agree with you on the dealer fee being 1k. If that was the case i would politely decline and just go back to the original TRDOR plan. Based on what everyone is paying its safe to assume i can get a TRDOR w/o moonroof and KDSS for approx 37-38K before TTL and adding an Icon Stage 1/2 + wheels + tires + extra goodies it would come close to the TRDP price after TTL.

I think that is a fair deal for a TRD Pro. Take it if that is what you want but your math is a little off on the upgrade and price differential. A TRD Off Road is $38,375 (the basis for the TRD Pro) and you can negotiate them for 6% off all day long making them $36,072 + TTL for a real world difference of $5,922. You can get the wheels for $$185/wheel ($740) and BFG KO2s for $1000 (assuming no credit on your Dunlops), and upgrade to TRD Pro equivalent suspension for $1500. So conversion costs $3,240 and you still save $2,682. Now if you want the cosmetics of the TOYOTA garnish then you will be out another $600 but would still have 2k in savings over the TRD Pro. There is no cost justification really for the TRD Pro over getting a Trail/TRD Off Road unless you like a unique color or just want it

You're spot on with the pricing of the TRDOR, wheels and tires. But if i was to go with the TRDOR i wouldn't get a suspension equivalent to the TRDP. I think i would go for an upgrade to plan for the added weight in the future.
