How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Autonation Toyota in Denver had one yesterday

I have to say, I'm pretty damned confused with the Toyota pricing structure. Either that or the salesmen I have worked with so far are out to rip me off.
I found out my company offers the H plan. I read about it and it basically says the vehicle should be priced at right around invoice. I'm pretty happy about this. I go through the process and the salesman emails me the H plan price on a 4x4 SR5Premeium. The price he quotes me is 38,700. The list price for the same car on the Toyota website is lower on a 2018 by several hundred dollars.
I point out the difference to the salesman and his repose is "for some reason the Toyota website is always low by a few thousand, the MSRP on the vehicle I quoted you is 41k.
I see folks on here getting prices for the same car as low as 35k. Can anyone clear this up for me?

What options are on the quoted vehicle? Because it sounds like the salesman is lying. Go somewhere else.
He said they had $995 dollars worth of options on it. He said the MSRP on it after the 995 option adder was 41.5k. That would put the MSRP at over 40 which is more than the Toyota website. I think they are just lying, which in the age of the Internet is just stupid.

This is so absurd that I can't decide if it's hilarious or pathetic. Ppl spouting this BS are not likely to be trusted, and you should probably just move on.
There's a Monroney window sticker on every new car from the factory. Google it if you don't know what it looks like. This is the MSRP. Dealer adds do not constitute MSRP ... but they are common.
WTH is an "H" plan?
And FYI, the term "dealer invoice" is a made-up term, and literally means nothing.
Discounts of 4-5% off (real) MSRP are usual, and as high as 10% do happen but rarely. This varies by region and demand of course. A "Great" deal on a 4Runner would be 10%.

Just picked up one of the last 2017 TRD Off Road's I could find - essentially what a TRD Off Road Premium would be south of the border.
I got $3000 off MSRP
That being said, it already had an undercoat, factory block heater and rock guard on it for $970 - none of the stuff I really care for so really about $2000 under MSRP (I guess the block heater and rock guard do add some value though).
Maybe not the best deal, but it's exactly what I want and considering MSRP went up $1060 for 2018, I think it's okay.

I thought it sounded ridiculous. It's official then, so far Toyota wins as far as having the most dishonest sales folks around. The first dealership I went to added 1000 to the sticker price on a '16 model on the deal sheet and then took off 2500 to act like I got a good deal. I pointed out they added a dollar and they said "that's the actual price". I asked if they'd like to see a picture of the sticker. They said the part that added 1000 must be missing and then said "trust me". Amazing...

That seems super shady but it's definitely not a Toyota thing. I know you had mentioned visiting Virginia. Here's a few links to some SR5's. The MSRP's between the vehicles are identical with no add on's. Each of these dealerships gave me very competitive OTD quotes via email with no funny business mark ups.

That is a little high for a year-end model. I picked up a 2017 Limited 4x4 without the following for 42k OTD with no trade-in. The MSRP on mine was 46,400.
3rd row seating

cargo net
cross bars
mudgaurds
3rd row seating was a must at about $1300.00 I believe..
Remote starting is a $600.00 option I certainly don't need and won't use..
I ended up driving 5 hours to get it..My local dealer that I bought our 04 from and we used extensively would not even get close..

Just picked up a 17 Grey SR5 Premium with 3rd row. Had 2 dealers in KC working to get my business. I was trading in my 2011 SR5 with 123,000 miles. Both were taking $4K off sticker. One probably gave me $1K more for my trade than book so I went with Legends Toyota.

Asked for my keys back and left. They called and said they'd do it for $250. I said no, I was on my way to the other Dealer who was giving me $500 more for my trade.

They did have what I was looking for though and it was a full 2k cheaper than the "discount price plan" quoted price.
I was going to buy immediately. Someone hit my wife's 04 trailblazer that has 313k miles on it. I just knew they were going to total it out. Nope... they are going to fix it. This puts me buying a 4Runner early next year.
I'm going to find the cheapest price and bring that into a local dealership. If they don't match it I'll climb on an airplane and go buy out of state.

We got the best deal on my sisters up in Denver... very easy transaction she is going to do the taxes on her own here. She got a 17' limited 4x4 and the sticker was just over $47,000 and after TTL she is at $43,585
