How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Folks, for those who are looking to buy new... I wouldn't solely rely on Cars.com. I have been at this for a month looking for "the right one", and in most cases if it's a "below MSRP TRD PRO", the dealership will either not have the car in stock or it will be a get-you-through-the-door deal that ends with explanations of why the third-party price is inaccurate. I'm still striving to pay below MSRP on every car I buy, and I look forward to reporting to y'all when I do actually get the right one.

I hear you can get a pretty decent deal in PA if you don't mind the drive. That's the closest I know for good deals up that far northeast.

I use cars.com to find the dealer, then go to the dealer's website to confirm.

So today the dealer quoted me $42k OTD on 2018 SR5 Premium and $40k OTD on 2017 SR5 base
Both are 4x4 and in socal.

Don't know if this is good price or not and if the premium is worth the extra 2k

It's a ripoff. Look elsewhere. SR5 base...$34k w/o options. SR5 premium....$36k w/o options. I wouldn't pay more than these prices.

go out of state... We got my sister down to $36,000 on an SR5 premium 4x4 in Denver but she ended up going with the Limited. She just really wanted the ventilated seats.

How does financing work out of state? Did she pay cash? Most banks don't cross state lines? Is that different for a Toyota financed deal? Would shipping it be cheaper than driving - time wise that is...

She had financed through Navy Federal Credit Union. She also go approved from a local credit union who would have had no problem with it. The rates were higher through Toyota so she didn't even try with them. She basically paid for the vehicle only at the dealership and is doing the taxes separately here in Tx. Shipping a vehicle would definitely be more expensive I will tell you that I just made the drive from there to San Antonio and my 4Runner only got about 14 MPG on the highway and it cost me roughly $120 in gas at most. She fortunately lives up there but keeps her car registered here since she only rents there and taxes are less here.

That's way too much man. So Cal dealerships usually don't budge below 35k for a SR5 and 37k for a premium. I'd look elsewhere. I got mine at Cabe in Long Beach but i know that Cerritos and Longo also deal pretty well too.

I paid $37K for mine, SR5 Premium with 3rd Row. It also came with accessories that I didn't want but oh well, the dealer was nice enough to bring the car with color combination that I want from 75 miles away without me putting any deposit or signing anything.

Just picked up a 17 Grey SR5 Premium with 3rd row. Had 2 dealers in KC working to get my business. I was trading in my 2011 SR5 with 123,000 miles. Both were taking $4K off sticker. One probably gave me $1K more for my trade than book so I went with Legends Toyota.

Tinted front Windows and swapped my Black TRD wheels from my '11. Other Dealer wanted $500 to swap wheels. I had already started the paperwork with them. When the manager wouldn't budge on that I told him if this was going to be my first experience with the service dept. It wasnt going to be a good experience working with them. Asked for my keys back and left. They called and said they'd do it for $250. I said no, I was on my way to the other Dealer who was giving me $500 more for my trade.

Who was the other dealer if you don't mind me asking? Crown Toyota wants 37,800 for a trd off-road premium and it's MSRP is only a few hundred more than your sr5 premium. I'll talk with legends.

2017 sr5 $36,700 otd.

Just picked up a 2017 SR5 4x4 for $37,200 OTD at Earnhardt Toyota in Mesa. Can't complain about the because firstly, I've wanted a new 4Runner since I had a 97 years back, secondly, they worked with me and with a little cash down got me out of my 2016 Explorer.
