Yeah, I think I did ok after reading some posts on here. I didn't have a trade in. Just a repeat customer. We agreed on a sale price, but not on the financing. I'm looking for options now. Wish I knew the rates or money factors if I choose to lease. Can't find much data on the '18 model financing from Toyota.

Just wanted to shout a big thanks for the tip to visit Sheehy Toyota! I live in the Roanoke, VA area and got fed up with the dealers around my area and Sheehy was my last shot. I searched the 4Runner forums, and found the recommendation to try Sheehy...so I went online, found a vehicle at Sheehy that I liked, got a quote via email in about 30 minutes. I took that to a few local dealers who couldn't even come close (not too mention the low-ball offers on my trade). I wasted more time with my local dealerships and none of them would even work with me.
So today, I drove up to Sheehy, got my trade-in appraised right where I wanted it and drove off with a 2017 SR5 Premium and I love it.
MSRP: $40,913
Final Sales Price: $36,398 ($4,515 discount, ~13%)
OTD price (TTL, fees, etc.): $38,734
I'm really happy with the deal they gave me.
Can't say enough good things about Sheehy...they are a no BS dealership. The salesman I worked with originally left, and they first quoted me a much higher sales price. When I told them what I was previously quoted online, they honored it without blinking an eye. Smooth, quick, efficient process. I was in an out of the Business Managers office in about 5 minutes, didn't try to sell me a bunch of crap I didn't need (warranties, etc.)
I'd recommend to anyone in the mid-Atlantic region within driving distance of Fredericksburg, VA to call Sheehy and see what they can do!

Best they would offer me was 3.25% and my credit is 800+. I prequalified with capital1 as well, and it was also 3.25%. I'm assuming that's the best available rate right now outside of other manufactures special rates. I went with a 60 month term.

I got a follow up call from one of the local dealers today and asked about the pricing on a 2018 TRD ORP. The price they offered a couple weeks ago was 9% off MSRP on a 17, of which there are still some available. There's an additional $500 from Toyota now as well, so a bit more than 9% off.
Their offer for a 2018 is only 5%, with the additional $500 included I imagine. I didn't feel compelled to run down and sign the papers. Though she said I could still get on the list for the Pro for MSRP (2-5 mo wait). Presumably they pocket the extra $500. That would have to change unless it's not applicable to the 18 Pro. I didn't ask for all the details as I wasn't super impressed with the offer.
I hate my SUV more and more each day, so I'll have to decide soon.

I was told by a friend of mine B of A was offering 2.39 in my market (PA)
I'm in northern Colorado. Went to a dealer here to look at a Pro. Guy seemed nice. I mentioned I purchased my FJ from this dealer 2 years ago. During the test drive on a Off Road (they didn't have a TRD Pro so I thought the off road would be most similar model), he then tells me there's a $5k ADM. Man I really wanted to tell him to go f himself with that, but he said it in such a nice way. To top it off, they completely low balled me on my trade in ($2k lower than carmax appraisal).
Will have to check the Denver dealers. Or possibly go out of state. I refuse to pay ADM.

Yea, but unfortunately, most dealers do it with a low supply car. I'm not saying it's right, because it's not. But, some dumb dumb will pay the adm, and more power to them. In the case of the TRD Pro, there's no way the adm is justified based on what you're getting (cosmetic, suspension parts). I can understand with cars like the GT350R, Hellcats, M4 GTS, GT3, even the Civic Type R, cars with completely different power plants as well as suspension, cosmetic upgrades, etc. But again, adm still is not right. I read somewhere that Dodge limited allocations to those dealers slapping on adm on the hellcats. So those dealers were bumped back on the Demons coming out, I believe? Shoot, Porsche doesn't even do adm on the GT cars. They're just impossible to get unless you have history or you get super lucky with a allocation haha
What annoys me is that this dealer still told me adm, even though I purchased a vehicle from them prior. I suppose loyalty doesn't mean poop in car sales. Maybe I'm the big dumb dumb for wanting this so bad haha the hunt continues....

just paid $38k for an off road premium. I'm in Colorado though so the price probably runs higher. The only remaining cement TRD pro in the state was going for $60k and the dealer wouldn't budge on price. I feel bad for the person that ponies up that $20 grand - their money could go so much further aftermarket!
