How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

I'm in northern Colorado. Went to a dealer here to look at a Pro. Guy seemed nice. I mentioned I purchased my FJ from this dealer 2 years ago. During the test drive on a Off Road (they didn't have a TRD Pro so I thought the off road would be most similar model), he then tells me there's a $5k ADM. Man I really wanted to tell him to go f himself with that, but he said it in such a nice way. To top it off, they completely low balled me on my trade in ($2k lower than carmax appraisal).

Will have to check the Denver dealers. Or possibly go out of state. I refuse to pay ADM.

Can I ask which dealer.

In Denver only Mountain States and Stevinson West would go Msrp on a 17 and that was several months ago.

I think Stevenson has the $60k. Mountain states does not have any. Autonation wants $5k markup.

Any recs on dealers to buy from? I’m in Southern California and it seems like everyone out of state is getting them for $40k or less while in So Cal it’s at least $41k to $42k.

Don’t mind getting from out of state if they are cheaper even with shipping. Have a deposit in with Longo but they aren’t budging on price.

I paid $39.1 OTD for my white SR5 premium (around $40 flat with 9.25% CA tax). Not the best deal out here, but Ian is very knowledgeable and patient with me. I was emailing lots of dealers in NV, AZ, NorCal, and even Utah for price quotes, but Ian happened to have the color I want and was not pushy at all (versus some of the dealers asking me to go in for test drive and stuff when I told them I'm like 200 miles from them). Thats why I decided to drive about 365 miles to Phoenix to pick up the car and drive it 365 miles back.

Just got a white 2017 TRD Pro at MSRP + $5k. This was the best deal found in my search around Denver. The Cement color was +$10k. And that was knocked down as the new 2018s are being marked up $15k. Groove or GO Toyota I think it was still had a $15k mark up on their 2017 TRD Pro as of last week.

Did you consider going out of state? All the Colorado dealers are around $5k+ msrp it seems.

I haven't seen many people admit they paid over MSRP. Glad you got the car you wanted. It did take me almost a full month to find my Pro at MSRP.

11.5% off MSRP. I think we could have gotten a better deal on a non-red one, but that's what my wife wanted. I could only find two that matched our criteria within 500 miles.

Not really. I know it is a PIA with dealer "adjustments", but if it was that much of a worry then I would have chosen another 4Runner model and still have been happy. The way I look at it is that this is a 20 year vehicle for me and the $5k will hopefully offset in value over time.

LOL. Very true. I usually get my cars at invoice (or what consumers know to be invoice), or below, so the 'balancing karma' is a great way to look at it. But man, markup is a hard pill to swallow...and I won't have to go out of state to get it, so there's something to be said for that as well.

So if I can't get a Pro at a reasonable price (MSRP or below), I'm considering a Off Road Premium. Invoice, or below, is doable price figure?

I figure I can upgrade the suspension, and the front grill. I liked the softex seats in the Pro, which the premium has. And I drove a Off Road Premium with KDSS and liked the feel of it when driving in traffic. Thoughts?

Best they would offer me was 3.25% and my credit is 800+. I prequalified with capital1 as well, and it was also 3.25%. I'm assuming that's the best available rate right now outside of other manufactures special rates. I went with a 60 month term.

If either you or any of your family members has/had any military or federal govt affiliation, you may qualify to get a loan through Penfed Credit Union (I got a 48 month loan for 2.24%), or Navy Federal Credit Union. They have sub 3% loans for up to 60 months, and to my knowledge, their rates are national and it doesn't matter where in the U.S. you live or buy the vehicle. Good luck.

That included the $4,000 as a down payment. They still came off almost $4500 off the sticker which is the lowest I have ever gotten from Toyota and this is my 7th.
