How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Put down a deposit this evening for a 2017 Magnetic Gray TRD Offroad Premium with KDSS.

MSRP: $42,734

$37,769 - Selling Price
$995 - Destination
$299 - Processing Fee
$1,621.13 - VA Taxes
$180 - Tags, Title, & Registration
$40,864 - Final Price

I am happy with the price. I have sort of been avoiding looking more into this due to fear of hearing about better prices. Either way, seems like a decent price in this area.

Pick it up on Saturday. Cannot wait!

That's a great deal! Do you mind if I ask what dealership (I'm assuming in Maryland due to the $299 processing fee) you ended up buying it from?

Can anyone tell me if this dealership is double charging on destination & delivery.
Here’s the sticker and a quote they sent me via email with discount.

Sorry above is the 4x4 Premium SR5. I’m in South Florida. Already walked from 1 dealership a week ago. I’m not in a hurry to buy. Prefer to find a salesperson I can trust

Being that it's almost the end of 2017, what price difference would you accept or expect to pay for a 2017 vs 2018 model 4runner TRD OR Premium...same color, options, etc. ?

I realize 4runners hold their value, but I have a situation where two different dealerships have basically the same model/trim I want, but different years. I imagine the dealer with the 2017 wants it off their lot asap. No need to consider model/trim (sans PRO) availability in price as we have no shortage here in Kentucky with Nashville, Cincinnati, and Indianapolis all within a hour drive.

What would it be worth to you to take the 2017 model instead of 2018? $2000... more?

My father and I bought our 4runners a month a part. His was a 17 (Sep) and mine was an 18 (Oct). They gave me the same deal as his, but with a $500 premium for mine being an 18. Obviously year end changes things things but it's a real world example of the differential. When he worked his deal, he was using the fact that 18s were coming in as leverage. I'd say $500 is a pretty negligible difference for 1 model year. Hopefully you can do better for year end clearance.

Pre-delivery service fee is a rip-off. Have them take that out and it will be a decent deal.

That "Toyoguard Platinum" is a complete rip-off at $699 too. If you're dead set on buying this truck and they refuse to completely remove it, I would at least negotiate that down. Personally, I wouldn't do business with a dealership that plays pricing games with the expensive dealer-installed options.

I would take the lowest OTD quote you can get on a 2018 and take it to the dealership with the 2017, give them your reasoning for wanting a fat discount, and see if they'll deduct $2000. Before you get the far though, I would make sure the 2017 hasn't been test driven a ton with a few hundred miles on the odometer.

Hi all, first time 4runner owner here.

Picked up a 2018 mag grey limited model with redwood interior.
Sticker was 45,004. Purchased for 40,717.

Had to drive 3 states to get it... about 3.5 hrs.
Every place around me wouldnt deal on a 2017, let alone taking any money off of a 2018

Is this a good deal for SoCal? sr5premium 4x4 3rd row

2018 Sr5 premium 4x4 with a third row. I’m being quoted $42,247 out the door. Cheapest I’ve found so far in Southern California. I’ve used Costco/ true car. If anyone has a dealer or salesman they could reccomend if it’s not a good deal I’d appreciate it.

Was offered the following for a new 2018 ORP, magnetic gray, KDSS, sunroof, in Colorado:

$38,000
$500 dealer fee
+ Tax/tag/title

Tempting, but I still don't have enough experience to know if this is a good deal or not. I was planning on buying a used 2016/2017 to save some money, but I wonder how much money I can expect to save...

The new 2018s I'm looking at seem to have about 250mi on the odometer. Is that pretty high for a "new" vehicle?

Does this come w/ any other options, e.g., running boards, mats, roofrack crossbars...?

What Dealership?

I am in your neck of the woods, would you share what dealership and if you like your sales person? I am looking for the same thing in silver. Does this include anything accessories, e.g., tonneau cover, mats, roof rack cross bars?

Given that it's a 2018, it's likely that one is what's considered a dealer swap and the majority mileage was accrued driving it from the old dealership to the one you visited. That's a fairly common practice among dealerships.

I wouldn't necessarily say that's a lot of miles, but at least for me, I wanted one that was as brand new as possible (mine had 1 mile on the odometer before I test drove it and bought it that same evening). At the end of the day 250 miles is a drop in the bucket on a vehicle that'll go well over 100k miles and your warranty is based on the odometer reading at the time you title and purchase it.

BLUF: Given the fact that it's a 2018, I wouldn't let the fact that it has 250 miles on the odometer deter you from buying it if it's the vehicle you want and the price is right!

I know you directed this at a different user, but I figured I'd share that I purchased mine at Sheehy in Stafford. I helped my mother buy her Corolla at Battlefield in Culpeper and my brother bought his Tacoma at Koons in Tysons. All were great, easy sales experiences, but unfortunately none of our salespeople currently work at the dealerships. There's just a ton of high turnover in the car sales business. I'd stay away from Lustine in Woodbridge and Priority in Springfield as they're more of the "old school" shady type of dealerships.
