How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Are the Pro's hard to order? Every dealer ive been to said no problem ordering one . Takes 3 mo. I get it that most people just want it now, but besides that is there a reason i cant just order it and at worst case pay sticker?

Trd offroad
(Cross bars, predator steps, all weather mats/tray, paint protection...)
Msrp: 39,503
Sale price: 35,800
Purchased out of state so paid ttl in my home state (~$2800)

I had to go out of state to Idaho to get the deal as local Oregon dealers gave me the run around with childish excuses on why they wouldn’t reduce their price.

Starting the process here in Portland in a couple weeks. Was hoping for a NO BULL price.

Dealers around here really jerked you around that much??

Inventory has been moving though. What about the dealer in Salem or Albany?? They have had the same TRD ORP on the lot for a few weeks now.

Looking for a color TBD TRD ORP. Wife wants Black, I would like Silver or White but we already have a white Outback so she say no to white.
Matte black TRD wheels and the predator steps. I will track down the factory cross bars later.

The king of No Bull is the biggest BS. Wilsonville Toyota is a joke. Good luck here, my advice is to email at least 4 dealerships and see who comes out the lowest. Then play the others against each other to see who wants to make a deal.

Ugh! I live 3 miles from Broadway Toyota and they basically told me 45 day lead time on a TRD ORP. Not sure what that means price wise but they for one only have SR5 basics on the lot.

At this point, I just want to test drive one and show the misses what a TRD ORP looks and feels like which is really hard to do around here.

We are committed to a 4Runner so I am fine sight unseen.

Also, did you have to pay Idaho sales tax on our purchase?? I don't mind going outside of my area to get a 4Runner as long I don't pay state sales tax. (for those that don't know, Oregon has no sales tax on anything)

Yeah, I can walk to Broadway Toyota and have purchased two new trucks from them over the years. They said they’d price match, but when it came down to it, they never got back to me. Likely that’s due to the cost they’d incur on shipping the rig to their lot. Probably didn’t make financial sense to them.

No sales tax for us to purchase in ID. I know you’d incur city/county taxes if purchasing in AZ, but Idaho doesn’t collect any taxes as an OR resident. I think Gladstone has a ORP in stock.

Question for you, why do you think they NEED to reduce their price?

It's a regional supply and demand issue. They want to sell the cars, but you have to consider market value, if a certain model is selling as fast as they can get them, why would they discount for you if the next guy in the door will pay full price and be happy? It's just supply and demand. At least it is where I am.

I can get employee pricing from a family member. Does anyone have any idea roughly what that takes off of the price of a PRO. I would be ordering.

I don't know about where you live, but where I'm at Pros are exempt from employee pricing.

Pros can't be ordered. The dealers get what they get.

Sales tax is based on your residence, not where you buy.

Yeah, it’s supply and demand for sure. Nobody needs to do anything. However for me to buy, I needed a better price. And I found it.

I've been shopping for a white 2018 SR5 Premium 4x4 for a few months now (live in southern California). Been to, talked with or exchanged emails with about a dozen dealerships. Got the same vibe from almost all of them.. they weren't willing to move on their price because they knew they'd sell them within a week anyway. Supply and demand in full affect. 40-ish (before CA tax/license) seemed to be the lowest quotes I got. Ended up ordering a bare bones premium for 38k and a 6 week wait. After reading back a few pages on here, looks like I should have gone out of state.

I just picked up a 2018 TRD Off road Premium with KDSS for $37500 (plus tax tags and $300 processing). Couldve gotten it for $36,500 if I financed through Toyota and got the military rebate. Got a great rate with Navy Federal so i skipped the rebate.

I love the car but am not impressed with Entune. The speakers sound muddled and cheap for a “premium” vehicle. I like the gps and headunit features, so despite my audio shop strongly advising me to change the head unit, I think im going to start with just upgrading the front speakers. Im also not very impressed with the softex. It looks nice and is soft - but feels kinda cheap. Time will tell, other than a few minor gripes like these I am really excited about the car and the good deal that I think I got!

What was MSRP on this? That sounds like a solid deal.

I walked into the dealer and filled out an order sheet for a cement pro with the only add ons being rubber floor mats and a rear cargo mat.

They just adjusted the options from their allocation list. Most of the accessories added to a pro are port installed anyways.

Glad you got the car you wanted.

Hey guys, anyone in the Houston area have any dealership recommendations? I've only talked one dealership and they were offering me $35,500 OTD(including taxes + fees) for a base model 2018 SR5 4x2 regular. Is that a good deal? Or can I find a better deal?

Unless I'm missing something, why would anyone buy a 2wd 4Runner? Isn't most of the allure of a 4Runner founded in its off-road allure? I know that snow usually isn't a factor in the south, but for an extra $1800 (the msrp price difference between a base SR5 2wd and 4wd) it seems worth it pay that to own a 4wd 4Runner.
