Wish I got that deal
Mainly the black TRD wheels and Grappler tires. Some other less important stuff like rock rails and blacked out badges and stuff.

Don't forget that the cost of this upgrade ($3700+) doesn't include the stock wheels/tires that it replaces. For example, I was able to offset the cost of my FN six shooters by selling my stock Trail wheels on TacomaWorld for $450. So for 5 brand new wheels I effectively paid $110 per wheel. Don't think the dealer "gives" you your old stuff along with it.
That's why I think it's kind of a dumb upgrade. You could do the exact same thing by getting the parts yourself and saving a couple grand.

Picked up my 2018 TRD Pro yesterday. Traded in my 2016 4Runner Trail in super white with 19.2k miles on it for 31,200 and I secured the 2018 Pro in Cavalry Blue for $42,669 with an MSRP of $43,919. I wanted the basic TRD Pro since most of the factory upgrades will be removed like the cross bars, cargo net and the sliding cargo tray.
Placed the order for it on 2/13/2018 and had it on 2/27/18 so not a bad turn around for a Cavalry Blue Pro. Question do all Pro's come with the TRD CAI or is that an upgrade?

That's a great price. The Pro's here in LA are listing at mid fifties and people are buying them. Love that cavalry blue though!

Unless they changed something, the TRD CAI is an upgrade. My 2017 did not come with it.

Ok so I paid 36k for my TRD off road... I know you can order the wheels and plasti dip your badges and order a new front end with the classic "Toyota" like the TRD PRO, are the shocks etc and whatever else they do to the TRD PRO that makes it a PRO really worth an extra $20,000.00 ?????

So how much is a TRD-Off Road or even and TRD-Off Road premium.
I got my TRD-Off Road, formerly the trail because I wanted crawl control A-Trac and most importantly for me the locking rear diff. but I really want to know if you bought my Off Road and then made it a Pro (badging, shocks, wheels, etc.) would you come out financially ahead? I actually prefer the Trail/Off-Road wheels as they're a half inch wider.
You would save money initially but in the long run if you ever sell you won't have the resale that a 4Runner with a TRD PRO VIN would have. It is all up to you if you want to spend the money upfront or down the road.

I have no interest in doing it myself, just trying to brainstorm to help out our west coast T4R buddies, yeah I mean you're right it'll never actually be a PRO, but a lot of people buy a pro lift it and replace the shocks etc. anyway. the only things about the pro I really like are the "Toyota" in the grill, I don't even really know why, and I think I could use the TRD skid plate, but my Off-Road has a skid plate there too, just not as thick and not TRD stamped. I was more pointing out if you can get an off road for under 40k vs a pro at 60k then the 20k could go a long way towards improving the rig beyond what a pro comes with anyway. you can never buy a different VIN though
Dealer doesn't want to play ball
Trying to work a deal here in Raliegh, NC. Dealer isn't wanting to budge.
Told them Id do 19k OTD. I have a 2014 Grand Cherokee Limited. KBB is 20-21k for trade in and 23-24k private sale. So I figured 40.8k for the T4R (list is 41.7k) and 22.5k for the Jeep ( in the middle of the two values). They aren't budging. Came back at 20k for the jeep and didn't budge on the price of the T4R. I guess the waiting came continues....

my unsolicited unprofessional opinion, you're right about the price of the 4Runner they're right about the value of your trade. meet them in the middle offer to take the deal if they bring down the price of the 4Runner to your number 40.8 and sell them your jeep for 20k

I just picked up my ‘18 Off Road Premium in SC last Friday. I got the price reduced 7% down to 38.5K and after all the dealer fees, addendum (nitrogen, tint, locking lugs, cargo slider), and my trade I was out the door for 35K even. I walked in knowing my bottom line had to be 35K.
I’ve purchased or helped purchase over 12 cars in my life (I’m under 30). I walked in and told them I needed to see the vehicle discounted to 38.5k which they did. I had them look at my trade knowing I needed to have 6k in equity in it (I only had 5k) and that after the fees and everything with a 6k trade I’d be right at 35k. They came back at 36K which is when I told them my bottom line was 35K and I’d sign that day if they made it work one way or another. I signed 5 minutes later.
One of the easiest deals I’ve made for a car. Do good research on what you want to pay and what’s actually fair and everything is quick and easy.
