How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Started to look for an '18 ORP with KDSS and the prices I'm getting from both dealers is ~ 44K OTD with sunroof or 42,600 OTD without sunroof. I was under the impression the premiums were all equipped with sunroofs but the salesman said,"no, it is listed as an add on option now". I've been wrong before so I didn't argue. North East.

MSRP $44,760
special color (blizzard white) $395
carpeted floor mat/cargo $224
paint protection film $395
mudflaps $129
running boards $599
wheel locks $80
roof rack cross bars $185
delivery $995
keep it wild savings $-1000

Total $46,762

Got about $2,900 off in incentives since ours was an auto show model (8k stranger butts probably sat in it lol). But we added the rust proofing package, exterior/interior coating package for about $900.

They gave us excellent condition KBB trade value on our GMC Terrain which nobody was even coming close to! Next closest dealership was about $1,000 away on trade value.

I have found out to look on line and get the internet price. They start out with lower price on the new vehicle to get you into the dealer chair.

On 4runner (2016 SR5 Prem) started off on line. Had appot to meet with the salesperson. When got there he was with another potential customer. So was past off to another salesperson. Lets call him bonehead. No one could find the documentation on my trade in or the amount given off the sticker on the new 4Runner. So started all over. Bonehead came back giving no money off the 4Runner and giving use $1000 less on the trade in. Both me and wife went Hell No! Bonehead gave us a bunch of BS when we told him the offer of other salesman. We told bonehead to speak to the original online salesperson but neither he or the sales manager would. We walked out. Plus we were going to get the $1000 TRD wheels.

My wife called a district sales rep and told of the experience. (oh there was also suppose to be another $500 auto show rebate we signed up for at the local auto show but that was lost someplace).

Well a day or two later we got call from some sale manager at the dealer. We got the deal we wanted plus they somehow found the $500 dealer show rebate. Plus to save the deal they knocked 50% off the TRD wheels and got free set of roof rack cross rails.

Have a love/hate relationship with this dealer. Year later traded for a Trail Prem and had a great sales person.

:lmao: "bonehead"

I kinda wish we would have negotiated wheels prior to purchasing, I'm sure the dealership would have loved to have our stock 20s in exchange for Trail 17s I'm planning on replacing them with.

Popped by a dealer that had a White Off Road Premium with KDSS, Running Boards, Moon Roof & All Weather floor mats. It had 1 mile on the odometer when I took it for the test drive. I didn't expect to buy today, but I thought the price was good enough to pull the trigger:

MSRP - $42934
Discount - $4,804
Adjusted Price - $38129
Freight - $960
Appearance Package - $695
-------------------------------
Total Purchase - $39,784

Doc Fee - $299
Tax - $2405
Non Tax Fees - $361
-------------------------------
OTD = $42850

My 9 month pregnant wife and my 2 year old son made friends with the lady who runs the "upgrade" section and somehow got us the rust undercoating and interior stain proofing included. I just have to call and make an appointment. I'm not really counting on that until i happens.

I had a very similar experience as well. Dealer provided me with an email quote referencing VIN and stock #, and when I showed up, it was a "mistake" and they weren't able to honor it. How were you able to find the district sales rep contact info?

Hello T4R! Been lurking for quite some time now. Finally pulled the trigger

Super white Off Road Premium w/ KDSS, floor liner, exhaust tip, roof rack:

financing

What are people getting for interest rates? OR Premium.

My credit hovers around 800... too many open accounts. Might be time for me to get rid of my amazon and newegg cards.

Dealer won't budge: $28k @ 3%. Which is exactly what my bank is quoting. On signing day I may be able to get them to 2.5%, but it sounds to me they simply don't care about the icing on the cake.

I am almost certain the feds raised interest rates recently. My go to for auto loans, PSECU in Pennsylvania, has rates at 2.24% (36 months), 3.24% (60 months).

I'd venture to say you are likely getting it as good as you can.

I agree you are getting a pretty good rate. We bought at the beginning of March and got 2.79% for 72 months from our local credit union. Dealer couldn't do any better than 3.49 for 72 months.

60 months at the credit union is 1.94%

loan rate

What I figured, but didn't hurt to ask.

I should have started this process in December. I would have been done by late January -- early February and gotten a better rate.

Thank you.

If you Costco use their purchase program. They also have lowest price and back it up.

The Costco price I was quoted was $1,500 below invoice. Not sure whether this varies among dealerships or across different regions of the country. Also a coupon for 50% off parts, service, and accessories up to a max of either $100 or $200 depending on whether you are Gold Star or Executive member

Off Road Premium
KDSS
Sliding Cargo Tray
Moon Roof

MSRP $42,646.00
+ black trail oval running boards (dealership valued at $395)

Out the door at $41,000.00, all taxes etc. paid. Not super happy with the price and especially irritated that they only gave me $20K for my F150 Lariat. I started at Mark Jacobson, our local dealership, but they wanted $2300 for pin stripes and a back-up sensor and tried to make me feel like a bully when I beat them up on how ridiculous that was. Picked up and went to another dealership who got to the same floor price as Jacobson with almost no bartering (42500). I told them they'd need to knock off 1500 to get the sale since I didn't feel great about pissing off my local dealership and they did it no questions asked, so I rolled out with a new car. Left my manual at the dealership and asked my salesman to mail it to me; instead he drove it 30 mins to my doorstep when he got off work at 9PM. Super impressed.

Now had two generally good car buying experiences at Hendrick dealerships. On both occasions I felt the managers gave me their best prices pretty quickly once I beat up some of their addons. Buying my wifes car they even accidentally priced a different car than the one I was purchasing and tried to ask for another $2k to cover their screw up after the down payment but I wasn't having any of that business, and they honored their original price (after several reminders about what constitutes a binding contract) so couldn't complain too much.

2018 Nautical Blue ORP
KDSS
Moon roof
Running boards
All weather floor mats and cargo tray
MSRP $43,873
Sale price $40,500 - 7.6% off

Should I try for more off? They are pissing me off a bit though. The went from 19k to 17.5k on our trade in. I told them the dealer down the road said they would do 7.6% off msrp and they said thats unrealistic on a 4runner. So I got up and drove to the other dealer, got it in writing and sent it to them. They come back with we will match that price but will only 17.5k on the trade in. I wanted to give them the business cause they treated me good on my tacoma. The 7.6% off from the other dealer was their first offer too so I think I could get more.

Just paid $41,200, in Connecticut: ORP, moon roof, kdss, cargo cover, running boards, hood/door edge protectors, roof rack cross bars, hitch and all weather mats.

I didn't haggle. Once they got firm on a price I emailed the dealership across town and asked what they could do. Then asked the original dealership to match it.

I imagine in Michigan you should be able to get under $40k pretty easy.

OTD I was $44100 with $16k down, no trade in.

No extra warranties. Still debating whether they make sense because I want to put the Magnuson SC on it relatively soon.....
