How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

A very delayed answer, but life has been, and will continue to be hectic, until June.
We bought a White 2017 TRD ORP mid August of 2017, in Richardson, TX. White with Black (not)Leather interior
Options included: Remote Engine Start, Cargo Net, Cargo Cover, Roof Rack Cross Bars, Tube Steps, Premium Protection Package. MSRP $42,515. negotiated to $40k even on price. 20% cash gross down payment (price including TTL)
I'll post a "First oil change" update as soon as I can, including 2 runs all the way through Broken Arrow in Sedona, and a one day drive from Phoenix to Dallas, towing a 6x12 UHAUL.

Extra set of all weather mats, cargo cover, interior/exterior Cilajet treatment, full clear bra package, wheel/tire/glass/door ding coverage, 75k service contract, 100k bumper to bumper and LoJack.

I've wondered the same, but I think so much is dependent on timing, locale demand, if a vehicle has been sitting on the lot for any duration of time, etc.
Prices seemed to have increased marginally over the last few months as well.
Have my first 4Runner inbound fresh off the boat and should be here this upcoming week (first vehicle was a 1995 SR5 4x4 regular cab, then a 2005 Civic for the last 13 years which hasn't quite hit 160k on the ODO)
Grey TRD Off-Road Standard with KDSS - $38,000 on the nose, right around $41,600 OTD (only extras are all-weather mats and door edge guards - will be getting full tint and new tires elsewhere)
An acquaintance got the exact same model in white from a different local dealership, and was just over 44k OTD (including a 10yr/100k extended warranty)

I just bought this exact same setup from Pat Lobb in McKinney. The sticker was 45,100. They sold it to me for 40,100.
I bet. So which dealership and state? I'm open to going as far as NV, AZ or even UT.

I worked with Cash and Spike. It was quick and painless. I called told them which one I wanted, filled out the credit app online. Then. Went buy after work the next day and I was driving off about 2 hours later. I had a trade in that we haggled over the value of a little bit.
Just bought our 2018 T4R TRD Premium, no options, through the Costco Auto Program, by far the easiest way to buy a car.

If your willing to go to NV, AutoNation Toyota in Las Vegas is a good place to go i bought my trd off road premium with a bunch of extras for 42k (no kdss or sunroof) otd probably could’ve gone lower but I’m not that good of a negotiator [emoji23] they did have a white one with kdss and sunroof for 1k more. But i didn’t want white lol. Just message me if you want the sale mans name and number

I'm in the market for a new 2018 LE and I'm seeing quotes around ~43k from dealers in my area (central NJ). This thread has inspired me to try a little harder to get that number down. Thank you all for sharing.

Might not be "true", but I could see the factory producing certain combos/option pairings if they sell much faster or better. And/or that dealer requesting those builds as well.
Why no KDSS? It rocks. It makes the car handle like a refined sedan on the highway and windy roads that lead to most big parks, and then takes the edge off the bumps when you go offroad.
Had the change to use it on Coyote Canyon in Anza-Borrego this weekend and loved it.
