How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Hey guys so I am looking at purchasing a 2018 4Runner OR but did not want the KDSS. The dealer says if you dont want KDSS that your color choices are only red or white. Is this true? I see a fair amount of you have purchased vehicles without KDSS.

Not true, just picked up ours in Classic Silver, TRD Premium with no KDSS, no Moonroof and no sliding cargo tray.

Just got quoted for an SR5 Premium at $2000 below invoice. MSRP was a little over $40k they offered it to me just under $36k. Didn’t end up buying it.

i'd be looking to get an SR5 premium with 3rd row. I thought i read there isn't a lot of these to begin with. i'm wondering if you guys think there will be 2018's left looking to be unloaded by dealerships before the 2019's are dropped later this year...

SR5's

Seems like all the SR5's around here are premiums with the third row option. Lots of them around, far fewer Off Road models on the lot. Pricing is around invoice or below at several dealers and it is still relatively early in the year.

good to know. thanks...I assume the third row is not something most 4runner shoppers are after, but with my third kid on the way, it's a must for me.

I got back my first response for an off road model, MSRP was 41k and through Costco they went down $1500, I feel I can do better based on what others are posting here. What should my target be?

Thanks

As long as you aren’t going after the Pro, you should be able to get close to 5k off msrp.

I have found out to look on line and get the internet price. They start out with lower price on the new vehicle to get you into the dealer chair.

On 4runner (2016 SR5 Prem) started off on line. Had appot to meet with the salesperson. When got there he was with another potential customer. So was past off to another salesperson. Lets call him bonehead. No one could find the documentation on my trade in or the amount given off the sticker on the new 4Runner. So started all over. Bonehead came back giving no money off the 4Runner and giving use $1000 less on the trade in. Both me and wife went Hell No! Bonehead gave us a bunch of BS when we told him the offer of other salesman. We told bonehead to speak to the original online salesperson but neither he or the sales manager would. We walked out. Plus we were going to get the $1000 TRD wheels.

My wife called a district sales rep and told of the experience. (oh there was also suppose to be another $500 auto show rebate we signed up for at the local auto show but that was lost someplace).

Well a day or two later we got call from some sale manager at the dealer. We got the deal we wanted plus they somehow found the $500 dealer show rebate. Plus to save the deal they knocked 50% off the TRD wheels and got free set of roof rack cross rails.

Have a love/hate relationship with this dealer. Year later traded for a Trail Prem and had a great sales person.

The only reason to set foot inside a dealership is to pick up the car. And then, only if they won't deliver it.

I had trouble finding one without a third row.

I hope it shouldn’t be too hard to find one with it by me if I end up going the 4 runner route.

I can’t recall where, but I thought I had read there wasn’t a great deal of Sr5 premiums with the third row. I will probably try the Costco route once I get closer to actually being ready to pull the trigger in a vehicle since it seems a lot of people have good feedback.

Not true. One dealer I received a quote from had a ORP in Nautical Blue without KDSS

OK so the dealer got back to me and they’re not budging. The MSRP is 41K and they say the Costco price is 39500. Again this is a Offroad model with KDSS, an option that I don’t need to have. At this point I think I should try to find another dealer, what are you guys think?

Went to the dealer to pick up my plates, browsed around. Toyota had 4 TRD Pro’s all ready to go. 47k and 49k!

They also had a few OFF ROAD pro listed at 47k

These were the sticker price, taxes and license included. Both models had the lifted package, suspension and tires

Pretty sweet !

Is it the premium mode? Moon roof, softex seats etc..
If so I’d jump on that!!

I highly doubt it. We’ve purchased a couple cars from Toyota and played the I’ll walk out and walked out...we did get them to budge .... I don’t think by 5K on a 4 runner, no way. I would say 1500 max if the dealer is hard up for a sale, but just in the last month I see these 2018 black 4 runners everywhere, they are selling like hot cakes.
