I paid 42k OTD (including tax, title, and tag) for a 2018 TRDORP, KDSS, Predator Bars, Sunroof, TRD Wheels and Tires (Wrangler), Black Billet Grill, Black Overlays, Sliding Cargo Deck, and Tint.
MSRP was roughly 47k
Invoice was roughly 42k
I paid 41,076 before tax, title and tag.
No trade in. Had the price locked down before stepping foot inside the dealer. They placed the order and it was delivered 2 weeks later. They got to flip a car quickly without any floor plan.

Not a new 4Runner-- and pardon my derailment of the main purpose of this thread-- but hoping for a "price check" on a used 5th gen I'm going to look at today.

What state do you reside in so I know to never move there.
lol - I'm from the Bay Area in CA. Yes, taxes are quite high here but during my research, I found that it doesn't matter where you buy the car from because they use your zip code to calculate the final tax rate anyways. So even if I purchased the 4Runner 3 hours away say in Redding, CA, I'd still pay the same tax rate as if I would have purchased something locally. I checked. :redbrick:

37 and change...it’s all about the Costco membership car pricing thing. The dealership window sticker had the MSRP right at 42 and then an additional sticker that showed the roof bars and 3m paint stuff plus their 10k added dealer mark up. I didn’t pay for any of the additional sticker markup items or MSRP. Local Costco Toyota this year is in Escondido, but I finagled this deal out of a different dealership with that pricing. I spent a couple months on this forum learning what I wanted(TRD Premium w/KDSS), and then a couple weeks at dealerships, was told I bought at a very strange time and got super lucky by the salesmen after all the paperwork was signed.

When you use Costco membership, does costco give you the sheet with the Costco pricing or did you have to go in to the dealer to get that?

998. Tax is capped at 500 in SC. Title was 443. Tag was 55.

$43,010 before tax, license, etc... for a 2018 Barcelona Red Limited. No 3rd row seat option.

Unfortunately you have to go to the costco specific dealer to get the info. I wish Costco would give the info, but it worked out well so I can’t complain too much. I honestly didn’t even have a Costco membership until I was ready to buy. My father in law told me about it, so I went and got the membership and the car buying brochure at the same time. Cost of membership more than paid for itself. On a side note I do now shop there so it’s slowly coming back to them. They do this for other manufacturers too. Check it out.

OTD was $39,966.02 with tax, ttl, and doc fee. Had a $500.00 trade-in.
This was in MA with CT taxes (I saved maybe $200 bucks thanks to dealer finance guy calculating wrong), though I would never send my worst enemy to deal with the place. In fact, I now count some of those at that stealership among my mortal enemies. It's such a convoluted story that it's probably best that I have to wait for 13 more posts before I can tell it in the "dealership experiences" thread.
Still, I have a decent new 4R, and it's all mine!

Capped... buy a 100k car? 500 bucks sales tax.
It’s not quite different from Premium, except that I prefer leather seats. That’s the reason I buy premium.
