That's a heck of deal, I discussed the 10 year warranty w/ my dealer but it was almost $3k extra. I decided I didn't need it lol. Congrats!!!

2018 TRD Off Road Premium w/ KDSS + Running Boards: 37,5 w/o TTL (no tack on fees, just state standard TTL)... Includes 1000 rebate from Toyota to clear out 2018 stock.
Freeman Toyota in Santa Rosa. Only dealership that came close in CA - had a few come in a few thousand higher for the premiums with more options but didn't need those options. Regular Off Roads were generally at the same price point (less common than the Off Road Premium models). Had a few people come in under in AZ but didn't want to deal w/ out of state to save a few hundred bucks.
Worked with Cris Maldonado in internet sales and Mike Cybulski (may be butchering the spelling of the last name) in person. Awesome crew, told me what they could do and did it quickly.

Off Road models have little wiggle room in CA - was able to negotiate great deals on SR5 Premiums but opted for the TRD OR because... e-locker.

I'm probably going to buy a 2018 TRD Offroad Premium tomorrow. I've been looking at the amount below msrp people have been paying since August, which seems to be between $4500 and $5000. I've printed out the entries from this forum, and will try to use those for bargaining. However, in podunk Albuquerque NM there are only 2 Toyota dealers and they are both Larry H Miller. Nothing like bargaining with a monopoly. Think I can get the price down?

I bought my 2018 ORP with KDSS for $41k back in January from Ontario, CA. Sounds like they're getting a little cheaper now

^^^ Exactly... While I ended up buying mine from a dealer only about 45 minutes away from me, I contacted nearly every dealer within a 8hr drive of me who had something similar to what I wanted

w/o KDSS MSRP shouldn't even be $42k LOL.... "good" deals should put you in the $36-37k range (before taxes, tags, etc)... It's getting late and finding ORP's w/o KDSS isn't the easiest thing in the world

However don't sales taxes come into the equation? New Mexico has a 3% sales tax on new cars. Is that the tax I would pay if buying in an adjacent state and registering it in NM? I know the tax in Phoenix is 8.6% That 5.6% difference is around $2k Phoenix vs NM
I already took some advice from this thread and signed up for truecar.com and had a dealership call me. They were able to discount from 45k to 39k with rebate, but before TTL. That also leaves room for negotiation, at least in my book.
But it wasn't the color I wanted, so I'm likely going to pass on that one. I don't like the white ones for some reason.
You'll pay the taxes for the state the vehicle is being registered in. I know some states do this at the dealer and some states do this when you go to get tags

Had 2 offers from neighboring AZ - these were last month, and the deals may not be available. I also saw decent deals in CO, but generally AZ had the most Off Road Premium models within the southwest.
P.S. - someone may recognize the spreadsheet. I stole it and improved it. OTD Price reflects TTL for CA and AZ $499.00 DOC Fee. Ask any AZ dealer to remove the Lieu Tax if you're purchasing for out of state.:biggrin2:

You're not wrong. I paid out-the-door with TT&L and dealer fees just under 40k.
I was in the New England area, and had to buy quickly to use the 4R, AND there were other extenuating circumstances... but I think I got an "okay" deal for my situation. You should be able to get what you want for less than I did... though realistically, not by much less.
