How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

i just bought a 2018 sr5 premium last night for 36000 think they felt sorry for my wife and i last week we found a live snake in our 2017 sr5 premium could not get him out after 5 days waiting game we just traded it in got another new one lost 11 payments but gained 1 newer year model and 14000 less miles both were around 36000out the door with a sticker of 39000 on first 41000 on second... service manager said snake probably came in through pressure stabalazation vents somewhere under back seats and could not find way back out,..we got snaked .cant figure out how to post new thread trying to see if i can put a screen in vent opening so i wont have to give another 6000 in payments to a thug snake.. any sugestions

If MSRP was 40,990, and you got it for 36,495, that's 11% off MSRP. Not a bad deal at all. Some are getting around 13% off MSRP, but that's rare. I think anything above 10% off MSRP is a good deal.

I paid $37,150.50, not $36,495. This is what the dealer sent me in one email:
Price 36,495.00
Dealer Fee 698.50
NC sales Tax 3%
tag 89.00


Total 38398.31


Since I did not live in NC I did not have to pay 3%, but instead $500 for SC Tax, and $54, for Tag and Title.

I came back at $37K they said $37,150.50. And I took it. No Ragrets. When I saw the paper work the price of the car was $35,896. Add in dealer fee and TTT, I end up at the sale price. I originally thought it was at $36,495. So I was yay avoiding dealer fees, but no, I had to pay the fee of having to run a business. :vader:

Also as a guy who used to fight for every dollar I would say as long as you're happy with the deal you got, don't worry too much a out what someone else got.

I understand, it is one of those things where I felt like I thought I did well, but when comparing to others, it doesn't. Granted I understand each deal is and will be always different. :moping:

The plus for me saving $700~ is that it would go back into the car for some various mod.

Also I will post more info about working with this dealership, but overall the night of me owning the truck I had nightmares of the dealership. :scared:

In Ohio I just paid $36012 for my 2019 TRD Off Road (38700 exactly with tax, title, fees). Sounds like a great deal to me. Even considering the $1000 discount on that 2018, your deal is better than mine. I would get the OTD price, too.

Anyone have a dealership in the Pacific NW that gave a good price? I am getting a lot of the standard 2500-3000 off MSRP, but I haven’t got in-depth with any negotiations yet. While I am familIar with the new vs used conundrum from my experience buying a 2015 Tacoma, I am still going to attempt to find used one, but I like to have a decent price for a new one in my back pocket.

I would recommend only shopping out-the-door prices, and compare those when working your deal. Helps avoid surprises come purchase time. Share them with competing dealerships, too.

34.5k for TRD OR is an excellent deal!

Excellent deal. Just make sure they don't put any add-ons like window tent, nitrogen in tires, pin stripe, etc...

Also, make sure they don't charge you a huge "bookkeeping fee".

I would say super solid deal. My MSRP for my OR was $39,973 and I paid $34,300+ttl. So dollar for dollar you're actually a touch better than me. My OTD was $37,3xx in Ohio (7.5% sales tax, doc fee, title)

Thanks for the replies. I'm feeling better about the deal. I'm pretty cheap and I waited and waited till the 19s started showing up to hope to get a better deal on a"leftover" 4Runner. No dealer add ons that's the price before tax it's 6.5 percent.

Hi all, after negotiating with multiple dealers the best offer i have seen till now is of 38,672. Which is for 2014 4Runner Trail Premium, Barcelona Red.

No, not a good deal. I paid $40,000 last year for a brand new one with all the same options except remote start. Mine also had a moon roof, not sure if yours did or not. I have read on this forum those getting it even cheaper than that for a new one. Go new if I were you. Way to much for a 2014.

Now if you meant 2018, that's a different story. Good deal there.

Great deal. You can add SRS wheels, tires, lift, skids etc. and still be below MSRP.

I got a quote for a 2018 with those same options for $35700+++. It took a whole lot of work. You should be able to get 5k off that msrp if you time it right. What you posted looks like msrp.

Yeah it looks like 40,500ish after taxes tags etc not counting trade in

But they're also giving me 30,500 for my 16 f150 sport which I feel like isn't bad at all
