Ok so this is my third attempt to make a profile and wasn't getting the email to activate my profile till I read a gmail account works and others don't get the email. Welcome. so in this case I have many questions that most will say do your research etc but I did and when I wanted to ask a question on a post i couldn't. Frustrated with all that so here I go. Im looking to get a 4runner currently have a BMW M4 so I really don't know much about the 4runner nor off roading etc. Im not really sure which direction to go to. I either want the TRD PRO because I really like cement and cavalry blue color. The cement was a 2017 exclusive so you will have to look for a used one. Cav blue is a 2018 exclusive color so you had better start looking fast or for used again. It's beign replaced with voodoo blue for 2019 model year. I also wouldn't mind getting the TRD off-road premium with KDSS to save a little. Good idea, as the Pro is just an offroad premium with fat-tube shocks that you can pretty much get anywhere from a number of OEM or aftermarket suppliers. You can't get the "cool" colors though. i think I read that the pro doesn't have KDSS? Correct. Im not quite sure what kind of off roading ill be doing since I live in fort worth and we don't have any mountains or anything here but would like to make trips in the future to places. i prob won't ever get crazy and do upgraded suspension stuff only thing i may do is do a level or 3in lift because of looks. Up to you bub. Im not sure if I want a moon roof or not I know the pro doesn't have one. Correct from 2015-2018. The new 2019 Pro now has a moon roof. You can get a moon roof and KDSS on any offroad premium, which again is the same truck as a Pro.
Im in the Dallas fort worth area and willing to buy out of state for a good deal/right 4runner. It looks like these hold their value well and a 1 year used is about the same price as new. Not sure which direction to go there only that if I want cement I would have to find used. Yes and people like to mark them up for exclusivity. Here in dallas I priced a 18 cavalry blue msrp was 46k and they had it marked up to 51k but seen some on auto trader for like 43k. Im really trying to get OTD-36k-37k and pay no more then 40k. Not for a Pro, you're not. Also, out-the-door prices tend to vary the most based on the county you're registering in, which is why it's kind of a pointless measuring stick. I paid close to 10% in registration and taxes because I live in Los Angeles. Montana residents pay zero. I seen some people on here get a damn good deal for 34k-35k for non pro. I prob seem indecisive just lost money on a new corvette which was a crazy story all in its own and prob will lose a little in my M4 so at this point trying to make the best decision because I don't want to lose any more.. You will lose money when you buy any fixed-cost asset that doesn't generate revenue. Even cars that appear to "appreciate" in value like classic cars, etc. often are outstripped by the rate of inflation. I would greatly appreciate some help thanks!!
