about $2.5k, not much. I could only find 3 of the white trd orp in the entirety of southern california. i had a buddy who is a broker do a search for me. most only wanted to go $500 under MSRP

Lock er Down looks like to be the ticket, this the 10GA model.. thicker than the 12GA (EXxtreme Console Safe® 2010-18 Toyota 4Runner) cost a little more but... but made in USA!!!

hmmmmm, i came across a gray one. lemme see if i can find where it was. i do know that Culver City Toyota had access to a 2018 black trd orp with kdss they said they could cut loose for $38999. i also know of a private seller with a grey 2018 with 2k miles who said he was looking for $38k but his had an icon stage 2 full suspension kit and a couple of other little things of added value

I started shopping a little while ago, and recently decided to get the off-road premium in black with the kdss and moonroof. I found a truck with those options that was about 2 hours west of me and started talking to the dealer. He offered it a little over invoice. then a dealer I've been working with that was an hour to the north contacted me and they had basically located the same truck, saying they would be glad to get it for me and it's on hold. I'm not sure what the best way to proceed is, this is my first time buying a new car, and I'd like to have the most leverage I can to make an offer.

When you say 'same truck' do you mean 1) identical VIN, or 2) just 2 trucks with matching specifications?
If the former, then it sounds like the 2nd dealer is saying he would have to trade the 1st dealer for it. In that situation, it's unlikely his price would be better than the 1st dealer (but there's no harm asking).
If the latter, then play price ping-pong with the two dealers till you get one low enough that you like.
Bought a silver 2018 TRD ORP with sunroof, sliding cargo tray, and toyoguard platinum this past weekend for $39,400 OTD. Ended up getting about 11% off MSRP, so it was a decent deal I guess. Probably could have negotiated for $500 more off, but I was not in the mood to get ugly.

I just paid $35,800 for a 2019 TRD Off Road (plus dealer fees...) in FL. I felt it was a decent deal compared to what other local dealerships were trying to get for the same model.
They were really trying to move cars at the end of the month. They had SR5's on the lot for more than I paid (but I'm sure they would have discounted them). Mine had been on the lot for a few weeks and was the only TRD OR they had. Most people in FL buy 2WD and are not interested in the extra features the TRD OR offers.
I was trying to decide between a Tundra and a 4Runner and they were offering me 2018 4x4 Tundra Crewmax for less than the 4Runner but only in red or black which was not what I was looking for. Very glad I went with the 4runner TRD OR, what a great vehicle!

US$38.5k all-in, that's about US$7k less than what it would cost in Cali.
Found exactly what i'm looking for 19 ORP in black with KDSS and moonroof. Also has the Wilderness package and door edge guards They offered it via email at 40,212 (list 43,423), and wont budge. Should i move on it or keep looking? *This was after increasing my search to a 2-3hr radius. Thank you
That seems pretty decent. I've been getting stonewalled around $41-42k in CA, but if you're willing to travel inland a little to an out of state dealership you might be able to shave another $1.5-2k off.
