$2700 off canadian msrp price for a 2019 TRD Off Road. Paid for doc freight pdi and taxes after.
How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Hey gang,
First time posting and figured it's time to get the cherry popped ha ha. Thanks for the wealth of information.
Looking at a 2018 4runner limited 4x4. The msrp is $46,417 and they are letting it go for before taxes etc for $41,065.. Thoughts on price??

2019 TRD ORP w/KDSS,Sunroof,Cross Bars,Mats
MSRP: $43.3 (should have passed on the bars and mats to knock ~ 500 off)
Price: $40.5 (ex. title/tag fees/etc) I declined all accessories/warranties/service plans
OTD is a bit deceiving here with no sales tax.
Probably could have gotten it a bit lower after reading some of these comments and reflecting on the experience at the dealership but this was about $1.2 lower than a no haggle dealership so felt good about the price.

If you ask me anything under MSRP I'd take. Kind of the trend down here on the rock.

10% off of MSRP (without the Toyota $1k rebate) seems to be about the going rate for "good" pricing; of course, wait another week and I bet they'll be willing to go lower to get that end-of-the-year sale in

I have tried to get 10% off and failed. So I walked away. That was before doc fee, sales tax, etc. A few of the dealers still show the vehicles on their lots, so clearly they believe they can get more. Good for them. One of the vehicles sold so they probably did get more.
However, there is a massive supply of these things on every lot I have looked at. I'm in no hurry, so would assume I'll get my price at some point. If not - meh. It's a want, not a need. I'm not going to go above what I want to pay for a 2nd vehicle.

Just picked up a 2019 voodoo blue TRD Pro for MSRP. Couldn't get any below that but being in California everything was marked up between 5 and 20K above MSRP so I feel like I did ok. Didn't really need the TRD Pro but the wife fell in love with the color and so did I after seeing it in person. We tend to keep vehicles for ever so I was ok with spending the money on this one, I love it!
Picking a 2019 trd pro up here in CT that was ordered by the dealer before I talked to them. They only added the running boards, all weather mats with trunk mat and the sliding rear deck. With that in mind, and the delivery processing and handling fee the msrp is $48,503...add in whatever I get screwed on for the lease i'm trading in and who knows what the CT taxes are going to kill me on there you have it for me...is what it is I guess.

I finally closed on a 2019 TRD off Road Premium
w/ Sunroof and mats, in silver.
$36,200 out the door(All dealer costs out the door, which includes a $400 SET Employee family instant rebate) excluding tax.
MSRP $40,090
I will admit I made a little luck. I had negotiated for a 2018 left over that- as it turned out the dealer was unable to obtain for me as promised, so they just went ahead and gave me a 2019.
What's more, was that Dave Edwards Toyota out of Spartanburg SC gave me the finance same rate that was listed from SETF on 2018 October deals at %2.9, and followed through on everything they said they would do "to the letter". Those rates are never available through any Mid Atlantic or Northeast dealer.
Our guy Tony Jackson at Dave Edwards was just awesome .
I originally had planned to have the 4R shipped to me for $550 to my door, as I had done in the past on my 07 Tacoma. I realized that I couldn't wait for the 4R, and was able to obtain a plane ticket from HPN to Greenville($180) and the Dave Edwards shuttle came and picked me up. I was on the road in less than an hour. It cost me about $100 in fuel no tolls on I81 and a straight drive back to CT all in one day.
Best thing about an over the phone deal is not having to sit through the sale games at the dealership.
The Southeast Toyota Region is the best region to buy IMO.
Always significantly better deals, with better financing.

Thinking about pulling the trigger on a new 2019 TRP + KDSS, no sunroof (preferred), predator tubes, cross bars, floor liners.
MSRP $43,2xx - offering it to me $3,7xx off for a subtotal of $39,500. Total fees $186 OTD. Apparently this offer is at their net cost and he’s going to show me the invoice to prove it.
Where are you seeing $5000 off and did you see the paperwork for the claimed MSRP on those? Were there high fees attached?
I thought this was a good deal but second guessing now.

What I have found out through my research is that invoice doesn't mean a whole lot anymore. The difference between invoice and msrp has been shrinking for years, and is not a good indicator of how much a dealer is really paying for a vehicle. It is by design, so the purchaser does not see the real numbers. That's why most vehicles of all brands can easily be purchased for less than invoice.

Do you think I can get a better deal than this? I’ve been looking nationwide and am within about $200 of the best offer for this configuration but haven’t really pushed any of them besides this one.
