I picked up my 2018 SR5 4x4 about two months ago for $34k here in SoCal. Included the cargo mat, cargo cover, and roof rack cross bars. MSRP on it was $38,500 so I feel like I got a good deal... (Debated the 4x4 since I now live in San Diego, but couldn't bring myself to get a 4x2.)



Happy to be back in a 4Runner! My first vehicle was a 1986 T4R 1st gen (hence the handle) - loved that truck!

Plenty of places to engage 4WD around here if you're into adventures. In fact I think I've had it going more in the last few months since moving to SD than I did in four years of Illinois winters.

Decided to buy a 4runner and have been lurking around the forums and learning great things about it. Went to the dealership today. After a lot of back and forth, here's the offer I got:

2019 off-road premium - $39,995
Keep it wild savings - -$750
KDSS - $1750
Moonroof - $850
Floor liners/cargo tray - $269
Roof x-bars - $185
Dest. charge - $1045

Total MSRP - $43,344

Invoice was $40,934

That's exactly what I paid in Phoenix August 2017 (mine's a 2017) and I had the exact same options if your "cargo tray" means the sliding rear cargo tray. I assume yours doesn't have running boards which mine didn't (didn't want them). That's a pretty good deal.

That was excluding TTL and I had no other fees other than the standard doc fee. In Seattle that should be no more than $150. Make sure they don't try to tack on any additional fees or window tint, nitrogen in tires, pin striping or any other BS. I didn't get the extended warranty as this is a Toyota and I probably will never need it.

An option I didn't have when I bought mine was TRD wheels and all terrain tires. If you are going to put big wheels and tires on immediately it probably won't matter, but the TRD wheels and AT tires are much better than the Duratracs and standard wheels. See if they will throw those in at no cost or at least a discounted cost since they will be keeping the wheels it has.

No, the $269 is for the floor liners and the liner for the cargo. The build didn't come with the sliding cargo tray. I wish it did coz I plan on camping in the back once in a while and would have preferred a completely flat platform. Maybe it won't be so bad with a sleeping pad. If it is, I might have to build a simple platform like other people here have.

My SCS wheels were a little over $900 and made by the same company, so $1180 is too much. Not having a sliding rear cargo deck would be a deal breaker for me, but I didn't know that when I bought mine because I had never used one before, just noted that it seemed like more than 50% around here liked it. I definitely like it now. Sleeping in the back is nice when flat, but a buddy of mine built a platform that makes his flat without the cargo tray. Deduct the cost of the cargo tray from the price, I think it is a $350 option or so, can't remember.

Very similar to what I'll be looking for. TRDORP w/ KDSS and led fog lights, is all I want not interested in Moonroof or other stuff.
Florida is high on fees so will probably be forced to go out of state.

Just because the law sets a high limit doesn't mean you have to pay it. Negotiate it down to $150. Make that your first request, if they say no walk out. If all of the dealerships are doing it, then yea, drive to Georgia.

I just bought a 2019 toyota 4runner super white sr5 4x4 with navigation two weeks ago. clean title MSRP $38179. less than 800 miles on it. i found out that it's not convenience for kids getting up a down. so, i want to sell it for $34900. let me know if anyone interest

Sounds pretty good. I don't find the navigation very useful but I haven't really investigated its usefulness much since I have a phone that does the same thing. What really annoys me about the maps is when you zoom out just a little ways all the roads disappear.

MSRP plus the dealer added a LOJACK system and an exterior coating that bumped it up a few thousand that couldn't be removed. But, no crazy $10,000+ markup that I was finding at multiple dealers around SoCal. Ended up paying 52OTD on a 19 TRD Pro.

As much as I would at a minimum love a Trail Edition, I need a 3rd row with 3 kids and carpooling. But I don't need a limited so it boils down to getting the SR5 Premium and upgrading the wheels, tires and suspension.

Any recent pricing for an SR5 Premium? Considering what I am seeing people note what they paid for a Trail Edition I would think I would be able to land a SR5 Premium with 3rd row out the door for at least $34-$35k?
