Hi I'm new here. I went to a dealer today to test drive various cars (ORP and Limited 4Runners and Rav4 Adventure). Wasn't sure what I would like. I chose this dealer as they had just received a Voodoo Blue TRD Pro and I wanted to see what that was like - though it was sold (at list) by the time I got there.
I actually liked the 4R Limited. I found it drove better than the ORP and had what I needed and nothing more. It handled the harsh gravel roads that I drove on better then the ORP and I do not need a rock crawler and prefer the Limited's drive modes.
I don't see too much talk here on Limiteds. I was thinking about buying in April (not sure I want the tech of the 2020 models) and this was really just an initial test drive, but this dealer has the exact car/color I would chose: Blizzard Pearl with Redwood, running boards, all weather mats and summer mats. The dealer put no pressure on me but of course their sales guy comes over. Talks about inventory and dwindling inventory as the model year gets later and if they have the car I want now...... Said they could definitely be competitive this month if I was ready to buy by end of Feb.
Their current website lists the car as:
MSRP $46,803
Dealer Discount -$1,500
Dealer Handling $599
Their price $45,902
If I move forward with this I'm wondering what I should be targeting for a limited. BTW, this is in Colorado where 4Runners seem to be at a premium and this was the only dealer that I found that wasn't making up Pros by $5k.....

i live in northern california as well. i have a 2000 4R and looking to upgrade.what dealership did you purchase this from?
I bought a sliver/redwood Limited from Groove on Broadway for roughly $40,600 out the door in late January. Mine does not have running boards.

Feb ‘19 u should get $5,000 off msrp +dealer process +tags/tax.
Don’t forget that a big volume dealer may get you a better interest rate than a small one, or even your bank.
Just got .8 better than our bank, at this price point 1.0 % is $1,000 which is $20 a month on 72 month finance. That knocks out a dealer offering to match/beat price that can’t get u a great rate. Great credit helps that along.
Around here they typically open with $3,500 off msrp, some open with $4,000 off msrp, mine opened with $4,800 off msrp and inside came off another $250.
Dealer process can vary $599-$849 +/- in VA and half that in MD.
The other stuff they try to sell u later makes them $$-paint sealer-rustproofing-extended warranties-gap insurance-etc.

Also, the pearl is almost another $400 option over other colors. The one we were originally quoted was already sold before we went to drive it. No problem- same amount off msrp no matter what model or options. The one we drove had $700 more options than the quoted one so they split the difference.

And anything u want that they don’t have today... color-options-model they will get it in a day or two.(usually from another dealer that has it)

Bought mine feb 2018 from Milton Ruben in Augusta.
Send them an email to start and go from there. No one around Atlanta could come close to their price.
We were just above
47,500+ msrp (rounded off)
42,500 sales price (5,000+ off)(10.5%)
2,775 tags/tax VA including 849 process fee
All numbers above rounded off, don’t have the sheet in front of me.
45,250 exact OTD
They beat our credit union by .8%, that’s another $800 savings.
They came in near 3.4%, last fall 1% and 2% was common, so u lose or gain $1000 every time the rates move

Absolutely !
Cull the hagglers with email. The serious price droppers will open with strong offers right at the start on email. Save your time for looking at colors and options.

That sounds high for a regular OR. What's MSRP? Seems like most are getting around 10% off MSRP.

Msrp is on paper work for $40,391.00

You sure thats bare bones. I mis-read your post. If without KDSS not really a deal close to MSRP.
But 40k MSRP sounds like with KDSS not bare bones.
