When I was shopping around in Portland for mine I did reach out to several Seattle dealers. I had a really good experience with Ben through email ([email protected]). He was knowledgeable about 4runners, not pushy, and willing to hunt around for me for the right vehicle. I didn't end up purchasing there so not necessarily a complete rec, but maybe it'll give you a lead?
Need some advice, and any is appreciated. I am looking for and have found a very specific set up.
2019 - SR5 Premium 4x4 white, baige interior, moon roof, roof rack, NAV, with XP package (TRD wheels, Predator step sides), and perhaps what makes it the most difficult is 3rd row. In all of the south east my local dealer has found 2. One in GA and one in FL.
MSRP is $44,568, I have negotiated down to 40,000 plus (doc fee 499) and TTL.

$37,200 - TRD OffRoad Premium, w/ sunroof, all weather mats, running boards, and wheel locks. No KDSS. MSRP - $42,084. 73 miles upon delivery.

Seems pretty good, I've gotten a few initial quotes for 39k with a similar configuration. I'm about to give up on KDSS, I've found 4 within 200 miles and none of them have been under 40k.

Yea, only "rebates" are the 'Keep It Wild Savings' of $750. If they think they're gonna drag you on trade value that might help you get the price down. I drove 20 miles up the road on a errant internet quote (quoted SR5) to which they honored the price, but tried to pound sand on my trade. So I took that quote down to my local dealership that offered me $2500 more on my trade and got the deal done that way. I came back to Toyota land because I have a dog losing a leg that could no longer jump into my truck and the doors don't open wide enough for me to set him in there. Anyway, the only mid-sized 4x4 SUV worth a damn (IMO) is the 4runner. I loved the FJs (had two), but they're too small for teenagers to ride in the back. Happy shopping!
After looking up the trade in value for my 06 Xterra with 150k I had dismissed the idea of trading it and planned on selling private party. I may throw it out there though and see what they'd offer.
Found a 2018 TRD ORP at a local place today. 18,922 miles, no KDSS, had the TRD Performance Package (TRD Pro wheels/tires, TRD Skid Plate) and KH Running Boards installed at port. They have it listed at 37,998, KBB says 34-39.5k. They're inflating the price a bit for those wheels and tires that I'd eventually take off but I could drive it as-is for a while and save up longer for a new set.
Any suggestions on an initial offer to throw at them?

I paid 38,730 for a brand new one with sunroof, running boards, remote start and all weather mats, cargo cover and a few other things. If it was like 35k I'd say go for it.

That's right around where I was thinking too, especially after specing it out on Edmunds. Whoever traded it in probably didn't get any additional value from that TRD package if I had to guess.

Thought I could do better but after exhausting my options from PA to SC out to OH since November this seemed to have been the lowest price offered. Wanted to be all said and done under $50k but I'm happy, it's a cool car and what I wanted.

Just saw this, but it was Stevenson Toyota East. They had to ship the vehicle up from Colorado Springs. The other dealer that was close to this offer was Mountain States, but they really lowballed my trade in. Hope that helps.
The $39k mark seems to have been right where I was seeing pricing for models w/ Sunroof in the Denver area.
Yeah I talked to one of the salesman a little more yesterday and they said 39k for one with KDSS and moonroof or 37.5k with one without KDSS and moonroof. I'd prefer to wait until a little later this year to purchase though so I may just check back with them then. They've got good reviews and seem to be a reputable dealer so I'm sure they can still get a good price for me in a few months.
So I’m in the market for a 4Runner now I really wanted a pro but it’s more money than what I really want to pay right now. I started looking at used pros and limited and it doesn’t make sense these trucks hold value way to well which is great. I’m thinking I’m going to get a SR5 becauce I can buy the TRD wheels and add a Katzskin heated redwood interior set down the line to basically get what I want. Sunroof would be nice but not a deal breaker. Local dealer by me has in blue which is my only requirement a 2018 4x4 SR5 with basically no options advertised for $35,626 which I know has been on there lot for a while. They also have a 2019 TRd OffRoad advertised for $38,105. Do you think Toyota is giving them unadvertised incentives to move the 18?

On a side note does anybody know of a site that shows cars inventory. I used to love Carjojo | Thanks for your support but they got sold. You could look up a car by model and it would show you all of them and how long they’d been sitting on a dealers lot. And the average price paid by people in your local area. I haven’t been able to find anything like it again.

I had good luck with cars.com though it didn't post how long they were sitting on the lot. Use the filters to whittle your search down.

What the other person said. I used cars.com to buy my PRO. It was very accurate of what dealers had the model I was looking for. Pretty accurate as well as when they were sold. I used it for 3 months to find dealers selling at MSRP. Warning: Some dealers list MSRP but do not advertise their mark up. You have to make calls to every single one.
