Market adjustments are on the dealer addendum with all of the other scam items: window etching, paint protection, aftermarket wheels and tires.
It gets added before it’s even put out on the lot, thus before any sales contracts are drawn up.

Exactly, and it sounds like they are adding it after the contract was drawn up and signed.

Paid $42,600 for 2021 Off Road Premium, no sunroof and included all weather floor liners.

Back in the 1990’s I bought a Harley Sportster from a Harley dealership that was basically a garage with a little showroom attached. I couple years later, as Harley became very popular, I ordered a new Electra Glide from the same dealer that had now moved into a closed Acura dealership building. When it came in the dealership wanted over MSRP, which was the price we agreed on. I wont ever buy another Harley. I wont ever pay over MSRP. Hell I wont even pay MSRP on a truck/car.
2.04 percent for 72 months, although I will probably pay it off in 1 1/2 to 2 years. Was going to wait but when my dealer had one in the model and color I wanted on the way, the buyer backed out and I jumped on it. Had to pay sticker though. My trade in was 4 grand more than I paid last year and got what I want now. Got the Magnetic grey too!

New member here. I am quite committed on joining T4R family but havent made up my mind yet. 50+ YO single man and I am not good with cars. (I have a dog though)
I own a 2015 4wd cross over with 65K which drives great but i dont want to use it for camping and few off road excursions (not many).
Option 1 : Keep the car I have for regular driving when my kids are around and buy a used 2010 T4R SR5 for roughly $16k (180k Miles) and drive for 120-150K miles for only my camping, outdoor purposes for next 10+ years.
Option 2 : Buy a new 2021 T4R OR for roughly $42.9k+TTL and that will be my only vehicle. This new Off Road model will be ready with the dealer later this month.
I am very new to camping and never done off roading before. I am extremely good driver but know very little about cars.
I dont want to keep two cars but i am definitely not ready to do mods on a brand new truck. But if i get used, then I can do few important mods and wont be afraid to try things. With new car, i would be bit skeptical on taking harder trails.
Cars is not my thing, so go easy. I know i am really dumb with cars.

Is it a good idea to buy 2021 T4R OR (not ORP) right now for $43k or wait for 2022 models? I want a Lunar Rock and hoping 2022 OR trim might offer it.

I am seeing MSRP on a 2021 T4R OR (not ORP) at $45.7k to about $46k. Are you saying you are getting $43k or about $3k off MSPR or am I missing something? What I can tell (at least in So Cal) is they are selling at MSRP on SR5 and SR5 Premium and the Trail, OR, and ORP are MSRP + market adjustment. Any feedback on So Cal based deals is appreciated. Willing to wait, don't need it today but would like to at least know it's on the boat.

I noticed a difference in my 2011 Trail and my 2020 ORP in terms of handling and smoothness both with KDSS. If you go with KDSS you won't want to do mods. It is almost always less expensive to own one car than 2 but you won't have a backup. Toyotas are reliable. If you plan to tent camp you may want a bullet on top for extra gear. If so skip the optional cross bars and get after market mount on top crosssbars. The Toyota ones are too close to the roof from 2020 on. My 2011 was fine but for some stupid reason Toyota dropped them 1/2". you will scratch your roof. You will like to faux leather on the ORP if you dog sheds a lot.

Yes one dealer sent me the spec-sheet, which says MSRP at $42,900. This includes 900 worth of installed packages and 1200 of h&p. Am I not going to pay this? This is just today, few hours ago.
