How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Nice, had the dealer offered me this I would've taken the 4K and walked and take that to another dealer. True that you probably can't get it less than MSRP but you can definitely get it at MSRP. Got my 2022 ORP at MSRP end of Nov. Put a deposit down mid Oct. People are still able to find the Pro at MSRP too, however it is a bit more challenging. You'll need to do some work in locating one.

This is what drives mark up because buyers will still continue to buy regardless or mark up! SMH :loco:

Has anyone found a MSRP deal in the last few months without a Toyota financing contingency?

Lost my 4th gen 4Runner in a total lost. Debating on a new 4Runner or wait for the next model. But 4Runner hold their value so it wouldn’t be a big lost if I traded it in for a possibly new model late 2023. lol
Mine is financed with my local credit union. Toyota couldn't beat my CU's rate.

The only MSRP dealer I found so far is requiring financing through Toyota for about 1% higher APR than my CU although you can refi after 6 months. That would be about $2K for the life of the loan but only a few hundred bucks for the 6 month period. Not the best deal but certainly not the worst. Although, the fed is going to raise rates in 2022 so that 1% refi savings may disappear by next summer.
I am finding $2K minimum market adjustments in north/central Florida.
Yes, I've found a number of dealers still selling Pro at MSRP in the last few weeks but I was searching from the West Coast and stopped before the Mississippi so I don't have any local leads to share with you.
Probably closest to you on my list is Prosper, TX. Most of the rest are closer to the West Coast and/or have crazy wait lists. Some are waiving market adjustments for local buyers, some are strictly MSRP but won't sell to out-of-state. It takes some research but they're out there if you have the time and patience to look for them.

I suppose this includes tax which I'm sure is high in CA, but still. That is EXTREMELY expensive.

The only way to be happy if did a trade in and they gave him a lot for it.
In CA it seems like only 4x2 SR5's are going for MSRP.
4x4 SR5, TRD Off Road, Sport, & Limiteds are going for $3000-$5000 over MSRP.
Pro's are $10000-$15000 over MSRP

Im happy because i really like the truck. I cant complain because I wanted one and got it. I think in my lifetime Ive never paid more than a few thousand below msrp, as we all have. In 2021 almost 2022 for a 4runner in San Diego that will not be the case.

Dealer told me the KDSS option makes the ORP much more difficult to locate. In my 16 state region, there were only a dozen ORPs and 3 had the KDSS option. They would have to get the other dealer to agree to a trade and then pay for transport. This assumes they were not all pre-sold.

Mine is also financed by the local credit union. I got a ORP at MSRP in September after putting down $1000 in August. Very happy with my purchase.

In Washington, it seems like most of the ORPs have the KDSS and I'm having trouble locating them without it. The real problem for me is that almost none of them are equipped with the multi-terrain monitor, which I do want. Ugh.

You folks should be thankful that you aren't buying in Canada with our Canadian dollar and 13% harmonized sales tax.
In terms of the crazy market we have found ourselves in, Used TRD Off Road and Pro models are selling for more than new. 6 month waits times are common for TRD models. The high tax system makes your trade worth a bit more but we still get majorly penalized at the point of sale. Unless you are a status Indian or Native person. Then you are exempt.
I am happy that I bought when I did as almost the exact model was on the showroom floor. Still getting used to Barcelona Red !

All that matters is you’re happy with your investment regardless of how much you paid. As for myself, I was not willing to pay any dealer their ridiculous mark up. I’m in Ca and purchased my 22ORP from Iowa. A local dealer wanted $15k mark up on their 22ORP. I paid $49k OTD and was delivered to my doorstep.

The dealer will estimate relevant taxes and registration based on the county you live in, and it's part of the final quote. In my case, they over-estimated by about $70 and it took a while to get that check from the DMV.
The only real "gotcha" is when you go to complete your registration- you have to complete a smog test first, even though it's a brand new vehicle and 100% of automakers are California emissions compliant. Because you bought the vehicle out of state, you have to get a smog test to show that the vehicle is California compliant.
