Had to take a $12K loan on the 4 Runner when I traded in my 2010 Tundra TRD regular cab. Wanted more for the Tundra, but regular cabs don't sell well, even with every option available.

Getting a little personal there partner.......:naughty:

well unlike most here, I *DO* like loans, since money is damn near free right now - I owe 37 on my limited, and at 1.4% there is simply no reason to bother paying cash for it. Hell, I owe money on my 97 supra which I have refinanced multiple times because money is so damn cheap...

who pays cash for cars when the bank is giving you their money for less than you can make on it - that's just my .02.

I owe 24K with a 1.7% interest rate. Could have put more down but given the interest rate, I sleep better with money in the bank.

Did anyone purchase with with a home equity loan? Just curious for those who paid cash, I have had this conversation with people stating that they paid cash only to find our they paid the amt in full using a line of credit that rolls into their mortgage.

I won't call anyone a liar, but less than 2% of people in the US own their cars outright, yet on this forum it seems like EVERYONE does.

@dekeman - if you're a student of history and you believe the market is going down and inflation is going up than you know you're better off having low interest debt and cash in the bank than you are having assets - I can consistently and easily make far more than 2% on my money monthly much less annually. I don't like being in debt but my wife and I live well below our income level frankly right now I'd rather have lots of cheap debt...

People who mod their cars are more likely to own them, IMO.

I do owe 25 K on mine though
