How much does a stock suspension settle?

In a few days I will be at exactly 1 year of ownership and 14,000 miles. Today at my dealer I pulled up next to a brand new Trail. I did not have a tape, but as best I could tell, the distance from the ground to the underside of the front driver's side fender was about 1 - 1.5" higher than mine. For a while I have thought mine looks low. The new truck was the same as mine with KDSS (although I am running DuraTracs and it had Dunlops). I am now parked at home and measure 34.125" to the highest point of both front fenders. Can any other stock owners tell me what they measure?

I have some new coilovers on order, and will be lifting the front a bit anyways, but still am wondering if it is normal for such "settling".

2011 Trail built May 2011. Now with ~1400 miles. No KDSS!

Fronts: 35.5
Driver rear: 36.5
Pass rear : 37

Difference probably from 3/4 tank fuel.

This is with stock tires at 32 psi.

I would be interested in seeing other stock 4runners heights.

I may be mistaken, but I think the KDSS Trails seem to be lower on the front end than regular Trails. My truck was approx 34 and change in the front, if I recall.

Don't take my word for it on this one- I may be mistaken. It would be good to confirm with other KDSS TE owners. I don't know why it would be lower, if it is in fact lower than a standard TE.

If the TE w/ KDSS is lower it would be because of the stabilizer bar. The KDSS stabilizer bar isn't mounted in a fixed position like the non-KDSS bar is. It's actually able to move up and down on the front driver side thus giving it the freedom of movement needed to allow it to essentially float freely while going over dips. This requires the front skid plate to be lower than it would other wise be to give the stabilizer bar the clearance it needs to move up and down.

Thank you. Very similar to mine. I was comparing against a brand new KDSS Trail and it definitely looked higher than mine, so there is some settling.
