I won't say it was t4r, but having a 4runner has caused me to spend quite a bit.

Besides initial cost, I spent 1k on a sound system, 75 on some aux lights, 40 on tow hitch and cover, 140 tinted windows, 70 on taillight covers, 40 on new bulbs for lights, 40 sunroof deflector, 700 in tires...

and mechanically like 3k to get parts replaced, ie timing belt, front axles, etc.

Its been worth it.

Too much...I'm estimating around $2000 for just accessories. But, this forum is also one of the reasons I bought my car, so I'd say well over $30k

Isht, i thought i had OCD. Nice to see people as in love with their rigs as i. Now, the leather interior. how much was that little goody. That is something that i really want

But my prob still lies, to buy at end of lease or just give it back. The reason why i say that, is b/c the mods that i would like to do, would just be a waste of $$ if i give it back. Like borla exhaust, k&N ( but not really that expensive) Nav and leather. And most likely bigger tires. The list can go on and on

Haha...I'm pretty sure there are a lot more people here who've spent more than I have. The leather was actually pretty cheap, I got the kit on eBay for $385 and installed it myself though it was a PITA. OEM headrests were $60 off eBay.

Hm..how much longer do you have on your lease? The new body style won't be out for a while... That is a tough decision.

I'm just curious here..... why are people buying lets say... a SR5 or a SE.... and then adding stuff you can find on the Limited for a couple thousand dollars? when you can just buy the Limited and have your electrochromatic mirror, leather seats, spoiler, etc.

I see lots of you have done that and i'm just curious as to... why?

I really like heated leather seats... so that's why the limited.. I wouldn't go and buy a SE and then add leather seats to it... Maybe the items you guys are adding is less than the cost of paying that extra money to get a Limited.... but I know some of you spend ALOT of money adding little things and by all means.. its GREAT.

The only thing I ever wanted out of a limited was the leather seats, I could honestly care less about all of the other little goodies which is why I bought an SR5. So, I might consider paying a little extra to get leather but in the long run it will save me a lot of money compared to buying a limited with things I don't want.

So I see that you have the painted claddings.. was that something that was added on? and how about roof rack and spoiler? you have those either? because I don't think they come stock....

It just confuses me I guess, someone buying a SR5 and adding a roof rack, spoiler, color coded stuff, and then adding mirror, and leather seats... well... that's basicall buying a limited off the lot.

I didn't want leather. That's why I didn't get the Limited. I don't know why so many think having leather is that great. It's really cold in the winter and really hot in the summer. It doesn't grip you when you drive "spiritedly" but it is easier to clean. I just bought a can of Scotchguard though.

I think I'm gonna stop at a mild lift (Revtek or Daystar, debating again) and tires (BFGs most likely). Hopefully I won't get too into off-roading and I'll save a few bucks.

Well iForce, it came stock off the lot with all of those things, I payed $29,000 for the SR5, v6, roof rack, spoiler, cladding, etc.. I'm not sure what the "stock" price that you are referring to is but I didn't pay anywhere close to what I would have had to pay if I bought a limited.

The real point is that I saved atleast $5,000 by getting the SR5 and if I choose to get leather later on for let's just say $1,000, it's still a $4,000 savings rather then paying extra for things I don't want.
