how much oil for v8

i have a 2007 v8 and the manual says with new oil filter put in 6.5 quarts but that does not seem to fill it up. i use only toyota oil filters and a fill up is more like 7 quarts. do other people here see that too.

6.5 to 7 quarts is fine.
