how much oil?

sorry, sure its been gone over but wont come up in search. 2000 4runner with v-6. just put 5.75 qts with filter change and shows low on dipstick.

6 qts for the 3.4L

Toyota says 5.5 quarts but it takes 6 to get the dipstick to the full mark.

Do you have a front end lift?
This will affect the oil level too!

I just put 6qts in mine and it only came up to the halfway mark between the low and full dots. I left it there as the manual says that the safe zone.
