How much over/under invoice

$700 over invoice for a limited V6 with everything but navigation. That is still a great deal for the dealership as the hold back is probably about another $700 so they made $1400 on me. I gave them a 2000 3 series bmw for $21,000 and they with sell it for $24,000, so in total $4400. Not too shabby for them. I look at the numbers and feel bad but I still love my new vehicle and am glad about my purchase.

I think every month the are taking less and less over invoice. Guess that is dealer specific though.

Thanks alot, I am getting off a '97 528i. I am participating for years in the bimmer.org forum and this question pops out there all the time. It is helpfull to have "real" time market data.
Cheers

Not sure how much I can help but I bought my sr5 v8 4x4 back in december for 700 over.

I believe in late feb, I read posts on other boards that people were getting them for 300 over..

good luck

V8 Limited with all options except air suspension and navigation, paid $300 over invoice according to the dealer...though carsdirect.com has the invoice on my truck listed as being almost $1000 more than what the dealer said  Either way, I'm satisfied :D

SR5 V8 was being sold for 800 over in my area a couple months ago--probably better now--although you get 3.9% financing now. They were selling a 34,500 truck for 31,500 with no haggling on my part whatsoever. I was estimating invoice to be 10-11 % off of MSRP. If you are ready to buy, do an autobytel.com and find out the best price.

I got my loaded V8 SR5 w/ AP for invoice a week ago. I had them add leather and heated seats through the dealer's contractor and it turned out GREAT - better than stock!

Very pleased :)

Picked up my 03 LTD 4x4 4Runner on March 31st. It stickered at $39,406 but I negotiated down to $34,391. I was surpised that I was able to negotiate $5K off sticker. They automatically took $4K off as that was part of their "slasher" sale. So, I suppose I only negotiated another grand or so. I looked at 4Rs about 4 years ago and they werent negotiating at all. FYI I bought at Koons in Tysons Corner, VA.
