How much play on the rear window?

If your rear window is down half way, how much play do you have if you gently rock it towards and backwards?

i seem to have about 1 inch to an inch and a half... is this normal ?

I don't have my 4Runner handy, but that sounds normal.

You're in Glendale huh? I was born there. Just thought I'd mention it because it's so relevant to the subject at hand...

Strange check, but windows have a fair amount of play in them to prevent the tracks from accumulating dirt/rust/debris. The weatherstrip and guides around the window ensures that the window will align preperly when closed.

With that much play, I would not be too concerned unless you have a leak.
