How much should I pay? FJ COILS

So, I'm looking to do the FJ coil mod and Bilstein 5100s. The goal is a mild lift and run 255/75r15s. Might even just stick w 265/70s to conserve gas.

I'm in no hurry.

I've seen some of you score all 4 coils between $50 & $100.

So far, I found a set of rears on a FJ forum. The guy is asking $100 for rears only. Ouch


Thoughts?

i got my tacoma fronts for $40 with shocks and fj rears for free. try to find a local facebook group when searching for coils

It varies depending on how old/new they are. I actually have a set sitting in the garage that i planned on posting up in the classified section i just haven't gotten around to doing it yet. You can have them both F&R's for $100 if you want plus the shipping. That's what i paid for them off a guy on the FJ forum they were off a 2013 FJ and i had them on for about 5K miles.

Check replacement coils on Rockauto.com. They'll be well under $100 a set.

I paid $80 tmd for '07's with 40k on them from a guy in the fj forum. Spent about 2 weeks waiting after starting a thread looking for some.

i paid $100 for a pair of fully assembled struts with 5k miles on them

I paid $175 for assembled strut/coil with a revtek 2.5" spacer and rear shocks (no rear coils) with 6,000 miles. Then picked up a set of 2013 bilstein assembled struts/coils and rear shocks/coils for $100 with about 100 miles. Sold what I didn't use but just had to search and be patient. My runner had 120,000 miles so put on the fj struts shocks as they were a lot newer and didn't have funds for billies.

I did a fair amount of research and went with the Bilstein 5100's up front paired with new Moog V8 factory replacement coil springs that I purchased from rockauto.com for $44 (I have a V8 Limited AWD)

Went with the 255/75 17 tires and got rid of the stock 265's, the ride is great and the 5100's allow you ride height options up front as I'm sure you already know. Setting wise with the Bilstein's, I went one notch up from factory which gave me right at 2" up front from my stock setup measuring from the ground to the bottom of the fender. Part of that is the taller tires obviously.
