Just bought an 04 4runner and of course, the tire pressure light is blinking. I went to the dealership and they said it would take a couple hours to fix because they would need to replace the sensors which would cost a couple hundred dollars. Is it really going to cost this much because I am low on money right now. If you have had the same thing done, how much did it cost you?

Some people forget or do not know that the Spare Tire has a sensor in it just like the other tires. In many cases, the Spare Tire gets low on air and the TPMS light goes on.

If you have not already done so, check the air pressure in ALL FIVE TIRES and make sure they are inflated to the proper air pressure listed on the door jam, owners manual or tire sidewall.

Thanks Charlie. I checked all tires, including spare, and they are all normal. The light is not "on", it is "blinking" which the technician said it is a sensor problem. Hopefully it won't cost too much to fix.

I had a few of mine replaced under warranty. They mentioned to me that each one was about $200 or so. I'm not sure if they were estimating in actual labor charges and stuff. If i didnt have the warranty still, i would never have replaced them!

if you prefer, you can disable the light... and use the money that you saved to do mods!
