How often do you detail?

Just clayed and waxed my vehicle this past weekend. Didn't feel like it needed to be polished yet. How often do you guys detail your vehicles?

i clay once a year. wash once a week. polish once a month. i never mix polish and wax. especially since you can't really polish on top of wax anyway.

What is the point of the claybar once a year when you are using a much more aggressive polishing compound every month?

I always evaluate the surface of my paint to see if it needs to be clayed. I wax every other month. As for polish, it deepens the color of the paint. I polish every time I wax.

Zaino and many other polishes are not abrasive. Zaino in particular is a sealant and so waxing is unnecessary.

I see, yes, the term "polish" can have two meanings in this context. Polish can either mean a surface protectant/sealant like Zaino's or carnuba wax or it can mean a polishing compund that is only an abrasive.
