how often do you see a 1st gen?

Here in fl, ive only seen a handful in person. A good friend of mine has an 86, other than that I can count the number on one hand. Ive seen TWO really nice white ones, one had colorado plates and was stock and in very fine condition. The other, i forgot where they were from but I saw them on the interstate heading into town, and then that weekend I see them parked on our one way boozing street and start shooting the sh*t. Apparnetly the guy usually runs 35's, but put on small rubber for the road trip to fl with his son and his friend. How many do you see and how many of those belong to people who are like minded and doing the right thing, as we are

I see at least 4 a day here in Montana!! There are tons of em still running up here! They are very popular due to the solid front axle, and lots of mountain roads to get up there and enjoy them! I love my '85! Solid axle AND fuel injection! Wheee-Haw!!!

I'm a FL boy too. I never see them. Although one did follow me down the turnpike to work a few days ago. It was red, lifted and it really good shape.

iam in washing ton and i see them every where 4 of my neighbors have them and one of m friends is an 85 with an 87 turbo motor

I can't go a mile around here without seeing a couple gens of 4Runners and if I go a little further I'll see a 1st gen everyday and they won't be the same ones. I think Colorado has the highest per capita 4Runners in the US and maybe Subarus.

True, Colorado slightly edges out Washington and Oregon in total 1st gen runners still registered and on the road. At least according to DMV information that I had seen as of about 2003.
