How often to do you change belts and hoses?

Just wondering how often you guys change serpentine belt and radiator hoses (or any other hoses for that matter). I check them regularly for signs of wear and degradation, but at some point, even if they look good, I figure it might be a good idea to change them anyway.

Are there other relatively inexpensive things that should just be changed out after a certain amount of time, even if they appear OK just to avoid a total failure on the road?

Start by checking your owners manual, it has a complete maintainence schedule.

I replace things when an opportunity arises.
For example, when I replaced the Timing Chain, it was a perfect time to replace the H2O pump, belts, and hoses, because they get removed to R+R the TC.
