how rare are 4cly 4wd 3rd gens?

Awesome.. thanks guys for all the input... i got it.. it was a good deal and appears to be in good shape.. i pick it up next week... heres hoping the frame isnt a rust bucket. yes i know buying a car sight unseen is risky.. but it was worth the risk, for the price and condition.

Im having a 98 manual 4x4 3rzfe with 260,000miles on it.
I a did valve shim adjust at 245K,, Original exhaust manifold cracked @ 250K,, i replaced it with a better one from scrap. A "mini header" for like $50.
Still having all the original components, never blew head gasket or been rebuilt.
Just make sure your radiator it OK.
I was coming back from a hot climate area during noon time with temp around 45 @ 120km/h 5th gear and A/C on... everything was normal but i connected OBD and i saw temp is hitting 100 and stays on it. I didn't accept that and wanted the temp to play between 87-97 with a natural fun clutch engaging and disengaging.
Once back to the city we removed radiator for service, the rad was 66 columns, all are clogged almost completely with only 5-7 seven were open.
After servicing the rad its now doing perfect.
Now tell where on earth can this be happened, keeping in mind that radiators are not getting clogged in one day and a night im expecting that radiator was in bad condition since a long time ago.
Now that is reliability, any other car would overheat.
With healthy rad my oil consumption is reduced very noticeably, i was not caring since i drive redline with an engine having too many miles on it.
Also im suspecting that manifold cracked because of rad issue,, cooling was not perfect for years.
Power is good with manual. I drove a 2wd A/T and it was under powered.
Fuel economy is OK, not good but OK. I would take the manual 5VZ over it but to with A/T.
and yes, 4x4 3rzfe is not coming with a good package... mostly base

You should request pics of the frame before buying. It's a big risk coming from the rust belt. There might be a reason it's so cheap.
I'm getting 20mpg highway, 18mpg on a tank with some city and mild offroading thrown in. 2" lift with 32" mudders. Not sure if that's "good" or not yet...

It's not as good as some. I have averaged 21.77 mpg for the 50,000 km I have driven it, gets 24 mpg on the highway. Maybe the tires.
