How thick is a 2.5" lift spacer?

I know you must be reading asking, 2.5 is 2.5

but with suspension spacers are smaller than the lift claim.

Anyone have the exact thickness for the front coils on a 4th gen?

With the 4runner front suspension (this ONLY applies to the front), you gain approximately double the spacer thickness. A 1" spacer yields 2" of lift. As spacer size increases, the ratio goes down slightly. You'd still be looking at about a 1.25" thick spacer, or possibly 1.5" thick. I can't say exactly how much because I've not installed anything over a 1/2" thick spacer.

The rear is simply the spacer thickness. A 1" spacer gives 1" lift.

so I am going to make my own...i cant see a round delrin spacer with 4 holes in it for 100+ dollars.

So 2.5 would pan out 1.75 to be safe? or 1.5 in thickness?

Hope fully someone would confirm this with an actual 2.5 lift spacer soon

I took some pictures of measurements of the daystar front and back topout only style spacers and my front which is advertised as a 2.5" lift measured 1.5" straight out of the box.

I'm looking to make my own spacers also but I'm in a 3rd gen (I found this in the search function, yes,I used it before asking) does the spacer 1:2 ratio still apply?? And only to the front?? And the back is 1:1?

You can measure your lower control arms and get the actual ratio.

Since I have you here, so the ratio is around .375": .52"? And I read the front ratio changes?? I'm looking to build and get a 3" lift I'm 2wd so less crap to adjust. So my front and back spacers should be 2.25" to = a round 3" lift?! :banana:

3" of lift - 43% = 1.71" spacer

Are you reusing the coils that are on now?
Are they level now?
If so then the spacers should be the same.

Keep us posted on how it goes and if it all works out for you, I haven't read of anyone machining their own spacers and installing them!
