You can go with an amp that has hi level input. That way you don’t need line out converter. For oem box. I would suggest 300 rms amp and matching sub. I had great results with jl 8w3. And alpine type r 8 inch.

I spoke with a crutchfeild representative, and he told me I shouldn’t buy an aftermarket amp unless I was going to replace all the speakers and what not. Told me since all I want is music, buy a used oem amp off eBay. I found one for $145, but afraid it could be a lemmon. There’s no warranty whatsoever. I hope I get some mileage out of it before it dies. If anyone has any more advice, I’m all ears. Not replacing it just yet.
