How to change bulb in 3rd High Mount Brake light on 2003 4Runner

I noticed the other day that by 3rd brake light is not longer working. When I went to go look at it to check to see how to replace the bulb, there does not seem to be a way to take off the red plastic. I ready some where where you need to take the rear spoiler off, but there has to be a way to replace the bulb without going through removing the spoiler. Does anyone know how to correctly replace the bulb.

I had to replace my third brake light bulb last week as well. The owners manual states to take a flat headed screwdriver and gently pop the lense off from the bottom. I believe there were 4-5 grey plastic tabs on the inside of the lense housing that help the red lense just snap back and hold in place. Be sure to wrap the screwdriver with a thin towel to help not scratch the paint when popping off the lense. Now, I don't have the spoiler so I don't know if that would be any different or not.

I went to Checker for the bulb. Bulb # 921.
