How to clean intake plenum + throttle body?

How do I clean the intake plenum and throttle body so its basically like new? There is dirt and oil caked on the inside, you guys should take a look inside urs to see if its somewhat clean, I think some of the dirt is getting into those vacuum lines and clogging mine.

you can buy a aerosol can of "throttle body cleaner" at any auto parts store.
then take off the air intake so you can see the throttle body. then read the directions on the can. and the directions will be to run your engine and spray the product into the throttle body in small spirts. this stuff will clean up the crap in there, and it just gets combusted in your engine and then its all clean.

but make sure you do small spirts of the cleaner because it tends to choke out and stall your engine if you use too much at once.

maybe thats for a little bit... I have A LOT...Ive taken my EFI off and throttle body off. It has teaspoons full of gunk at the bottom where most of it has gone. I used carb cleaner.

The only way to do it right is to remove the intake and give it a good cleaning. its almost impossible to clean the intake completely with it on the engine.

oh I didnt realize you have it off the engine.
in that case I would use BrakeKleen, compressed air, and a rag
