Anyone know how to disassemble the side view mirror? I'm not talking about taking it off the door; I want to know how to get at the area between the mirror glass and the plastic housing. I was thinking about modding the side view mirrors to add puddle lights, so I want to see how much room there is inside. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I think u have to look for the muth signal mirrors, they do have instruction to how to disassemble the mirror area.

You pop them off, push the mirror towards the bottom, grab a good wide area of the mirror and pull forward, it might take some force, you'll pop the miror glass off the actual motor assembly. I can't remember if the bottom hooks on or clips on, but it comes off like that.
